Hotels near MAP - Craft Market Paraibano, Joao Pessoa

Very good hotel. Super friendly and helpful waiters, very good facilities, very good rooms, super rich breakfast. My only shortcoming is related to the main elevator of the hotel. The elevator is very slow, and the TV in the room is not controlled by all channels (only when there is a number), and the TV in the room cannot answer everything. The channel number of the channel (I only found this relationship when I added a number to it). ), but nothing can hack the hotel or make me stop recommending it.

Entao fui a esse hotel agora no dia 17/2/24 estávamos entre dois hotéis e acabamos escolhendo esse , bem localizado, alguns funcionários bem solicito, limpeza dos quartos mnt boa , café da manhã e terceirizado, mas é sim mnt bom , tem varanda que, no meu vê precisam de alguns reparos mas nd que não me deixe voltar lá , gostei bastante, ficamos 7 dias no ap tinha fogão , banheiro grande , dois quartos com excelente espaço

The breakfast is very good, as usual in the Village Hotels, but the facilities need some improvements. The blackout of the room allows a lot of light inlet. The air conditioning directs the ventilation directly above the bed (though some people prefer so, especially I don't like it.

The positive points were the location, this hotel is a new building, breakfast also (always varying the cardboard every day) , the room is cozy, with soft bed and full of travessors, TV with several channels, the view (of my room in the first floor was mainly for the neighbouring building, but the window provided good lighting). Even with that time, they had no time to re-provide the shampoo to take a bath, then the fridge is unprovided (it is necessary to go to the ground if you serve what you want in a serf-service convenience store) and, the worst of all, There was an infiltration above the door of our room.

Nord is a chain of hotels in this part of Brazil and we’ve stayed at other locations, and they were alright. This hotel used to be the Skyler Mar Hotel. It has been a Nord hotel for 6 years, but they still have the name of the old hotel on all the rooms (“Skyler Mar Hotel” see photo). I guess they haven’t had the time to take the old signs down. Strike one. We were staying in the city for only one night for the Christmas holidays and the Nord Luxxor Cabo Branco Hotel was conveniently located near where we wanted to go. We checked in and went up to our room and the first thing my wife and I noticed was that the room stunk of mold. It appeared that they tried to clean the room, based on the smell of cleaning supplies, but it didn’t do the trick. I went down to the receptionist to let her know that since I was only staying one night, I didn’t want to change rooms, but that they should be aware of the terrible odor in our unit. She offered to change our room, but I didn’t trust that the next room didn’t have the same problem. Strike two. The room itself was a bit Spartan. The bathrooms did not have individual toiletries but rather, soap and shampoo dispensers on the wall, which I only expect to find in lower-end hotels (this hotel charges about the same as most of the hotels in the area, so the least they could do is give me a bar of soap or charge me less). Our room had a view of an airshaft, but I won’t complain since I didn’t choose to upgrade to a room with a view. There was a lack of lighting fixtures in the room, so you either had to sleep with a bright light on or remain in complete darkness. On the positive side, breakfast, which is included, was pretty good and the restaurant was attractive. Overall, for the the experience we had, I don’t think I’d be staying here again and I don’t think I can recommend you stay here either.

Já fiquei várias vezes nesse hotel e o serviço sempre é muito bom. Ótimo café da manhã, ótimas instalações e pessoal muito bem treinado. Já fico nesse hotel há anos e, se Deus abençoar, ficarei mais vezes. Ps: uma queixa apenas. Num quarto quádruplo pode-se acolher confortavelmente uma quinta cama sem maiores problemas, mas infelizmente não nos deixaram fazer isso nesse fim de semana. De toda forma isso não mancha em nada o hotel.

This is our last day at the hotel. Firstly, I would like to point out that the photos published are not in line with the reality of the hotel. At the time of our arrival, the official was not even a little friendly. The hotel has dirty, poorly cared, with disguise. We were received in a dirty sandy room, incarnated gardens, bad dressers, disconfortable bed sofa. The worst point of the room was the shower. The water simply doesn't warm. We called the reception and we were informed that we should connect the shower and wait for the hot water to be hot, that was just how it worked, but we could not take a hot bath, just well-morn. The bed clothes are not exchanged, the cottage only extends the bed, we are sure, because the shirt had a sleeve and we realized it was the same every day. The French bread is not new, the positive point of the hotel is the location, and our final point is that we will not return to this hotel because we have no favourable experience.

Instead of being built towards the sea, the very large majority of rooms have a ”view” on the side, that is a view on a wall (and builders on one side). Either they had a larger plot of land and consequently sold it to make profit, or they didn't take in consideration that one day it would be built. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and could see and hear builders shouting 3 meters away from our window. Additionally, sheet was stained. Luckily, staff is helpful but... they can only do what the management allows to do. We got an other room - 2 floors away from our second room, on the ground floor, still with a view on a wall, but at least on the other side. As it happened, in that room sheet was holed, probably because it had been used for too long. Bed itself is good - one of the very few decent things, together with most employees who do their best - reception is open 24/7. Shower is not too bad, but door does not close properly and there are fungus. On the ground floor, customers go through the corridor passing in front of all bedrooms to reach the elevator: the first night, we heard coming and going until 4 a.m. and we could even hear peeing or a tiny object falling on the floor above us. There is no noise-insulation at all. Swimming pool on the roof has a great view, but is maximum 1 meter deep and during the day, you bath under the eyes of the builders. As already said, staff do their best, but the hotel is so badly conceived - not even speaking of the permanent noise on weekdays, from 7 or 8 until 5 or 6 -that it is not sufficient. Regional breakfast on the first morning - a Saturday as is probably the case for most visitors - was very good, with decent options (not the largest buffet, but corresponding to the hotel size). On Sunday, it was not that good anymore as we started to receive cheese bread (paô de queijo) and other stuff like sweet bread which was (at least) 2 or 3 days old. To the contrary, you may order eggs or tapioca pancakes prepared on demand. Wi-fi is free, but network is overloaded and connection hardly reaches the 2nd floor. On the first night, I realized the bulb from the bedside lamp was burnt. I asked the reception, but they told me they had none at the reception, but would be fixed on the next morning. In the evening, it still did not work... until I realized there was a short-circuit... and could consequently only remove the plug and ”do without” night lamp - I had to read or watch television with the powerful, blank ceiling lamp (not very comfortable for my partner wishing to sleep earlier than me. Last but not least, Cabo Branco beach is quite extensive: this hotel is located (almost) at the very end, which means that you will walk about 2 km minimum to get to the beginning of the numerous restaurants available in Tambau and the closest/other end of Cabo Branco. There are not many hotels in the immediate area, and I find myself needing to stay in this neighborhood occasionally, but had never tried Bessa Beach Hotel before, so I thought I’d give them a try. My first impression was that I didn’t find the employees very helpful. When we parked in front of the hotel and took our bags out of the car, the bellman asked “do you want help bringing those into the hotel?” I knew that there wasn’t a chance that he'd be bringing my bags up to the room, and I was right. Later, when coming back to the hotel after dinner, we greeted the desk clerk with a “good evening”, but he couldn't be bothered to reply—I guess we disturbed his nap. The hotel elevator had an overwhelming odor of mold, probably from guests using the elevator directly after the swimming pool. Our room was not much better: there were no hangers in what passed for a closet and the bathroom was very small and uncomfortable. The bed had only 2 of the flimsiest pillows I've seen in a long while. We called the front desk to see if they could send up 2 more. We waited for a while, but finally gave up and went out. When we returned, we called the front desk again, and with a new shift on duty, it was an easy task (as it should've been the first time we asked). The bed was so uncomfortable that I hardly slept at all. When I moved the pillow, I discovered that there was an electrical outlet behind the pillow on the headboard. I don’t know what the building code is, but I’m pretty sure that an outlet behind a pillow would not b on the “good idea” list. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn’t have a room safe, until I stayed here. Overall, I won’t be staying here again, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone that I like.
