Dan Jerusalem Hotel

Just checked in at Dan Jerusalem and already found problem. My daughter cannot go in her room because the key’s not working. We go back to the reception 3 times and still not working, and the reception is rude and didn’t say sorry at all. I call them again and they asked me to go back again but I asked them to come instead and give me manual key at last. I supposed to stay here for 3 nights but we decided to change hotel the 2nd day. Room looks very old and dirty even though they claimed they did the renovations 5 years ago. Bathroom very smelly like sewer. Stayed here with my family, total 6 rooms, all smell like sewer until the smell goes into the room. Water goes everywhere when you shower. Buffet was chaos. Food was bad, service even worse. No queue, people grab the cake for dessert with their hands and put them back. Food presentation on the buffet is so bad. Taste very blant. Will not come back here ever again.

The best experience in Israel especially at holidays. The food and beverage, the service, the room the view! Everything is 10/10. All my family came yesterday and we get a fantastic rooms with balconies. The reception gave great service and all the departments was so nice!

We were two of the 53 people in a church group that was here when Israel declared war on Hamas so was interesting times for sure but they were amazing. Rooms are well taken care of and food was excellent. Desserts were unmatched and such a cool layout

It was a good hotel to stay at to visit Jeruslalem as we did a lot of sight seeing & sat at the swimming pool on the first day & breakfast was good is well & bar service was good sitting in with the piano playing nice music & our bedroom & bed was comfortable

Will start with the good stuff, cause found some. - Room was spacious, and comfortable. - Bathroom was nice and large. Hot water coming in quickly. Now, the stuff I’m totally angry at.. - the outside pool is not warmed up, and stays cold even when sun directly on it. - the shower hose is too short, meaning that you need to bend over to use it on your head in the “protected area (with a glass) of the bath”, otherwise you will water everywhere on the bathroom. - Staff not smiling at all and not easy to deal with! - Food was various, but not high quality, several dry fish and meat, would expect far more for what we paid. - Was not offered any option of late checkout because of groups coming at our checkout time. All we asked was a room (even another one would have been ok) to stay there till the end of Shabbat (we are orthodox). Hard to think they couldn’t help on that matter. Would have expected better, for what we paid.

Very Nice rooms. Excellent dinner & breakfast. Varied and delicious food Best service. Very good spa and swimming pool. The lobby is huge and in the evening there was a piano 🎹 player which played a very good music.

The hotel says we should get the room at 15:00. Unfortunately, when we came at 15:00, they said the room is not available. They didn't even offered some compensation, just said they will SMS us when it is available. The SMS came a few minutes before 16:00. With 2 small kids, that was terrible to pass 1 hour without a room. That ruined all our vacation (which by itself was only 1 night vacation). One good thing, is Hili from the kids club, she was really friendly and helpful.

Dan Jerusalem Hotel is a luxurious hotel with many facilities to please guests. Jerusalem has grown remarkably since we first visited 40 years ago. Jerusalem was once a quiet outpost suited mainly to pilgrims, now it's a thriving city. Service at Dan Jerusalem Hotel is first rate; we enjoyed our stay.

The staff is completly indifferent to guest requests or phone calls. Even when confronted they do not styemot to provide service but rsther preffer to send the guest to take care of his issues. The hotel behaves as if a beautiful location will "sell itself" and they are exempt from responsibility. Upon check in our rooms were not prepared according to the reservation with extra cribs (3 babies) and we waited for the housekeeping to provide the deficiencies. Morning service at breskfast is poor with a mediocre selection contrary to the Dan Chain standards. Definately the weakest link in the chain. We came back after a decade of absense and are totally disappointed.
