The hotel is located in the Old City right by the Jaffa Gate, at the junction of the Christian and Armenian quarters. It's a very atmospheric place. The hotel rooftop offers guests an excellent observation deck with views of the Old City and the Mount of Olives.

This was always a very good hotel. But since 2025, all Christian symbols and icons have been removed. Ninety percent of the guests are Muslim. The breakfast buffet has been redesigned for Muslims, as has the hotel itself.

Friendly staff but hotel room was very dirty incluiding the sheets. Made the beds sloppy did not throw away garbage the last two days of my stay. I won’t be staying there when i return to israel. Gave a two star because some staff was very friendly besides that the hotel stay wasn’t nice especially for the price i paid.

Great location but entrance is up an alleyway with difficult to see sign. The manager is first class, very helpful and friendly. Interesting history and character of the building. Breakfast is excellent. Good size room. Quite a bit of street noise at busy Jaffa Gate. Bed only a double not a queen and hard. Top sheet was for a smaller bed. Lots of stairs and only a luggage elevator for first level.
