Jerusalem Gate Hotel

Was amazing

Location is central and good for public transport accessibility!

I was here for a few days, and it's in a central location, very clean, has great food and the staff were kind and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and would not recommend it to anyone. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. The room was filthy when I arrived. The towels, bed sheets, floor, and other surfaces were covered with hair. The sheets appeared to be unwashed, and the entire bed was in a shocking condition. There were crumbs and debris underneath the mattress protector, and both the mattress protector and bedding were stained with substances I could not identify. The overall level of hygiene was honestly disgusting. I took photos of the towels, sheets, stains, and room conditions because I could hardly believe what I was seeing. When I asked to have the room cleaned or to be moved to another room, I was told that all the rooms were the same. Despite repeatedly requesting cleaning during my stay, it never happened. I eventually had to obtain clean sheets myself. The hotel is also extremely noisy. While it is located in the center of Jerusalem, there is constant traffic noise and beeping from the street. The windows provide very poor sound insulation, making it difficult to rest or sleep. The staff seemed to be doing the bare minimum. Even during the week, when the hotel did not appear particularly busy, basic requests were ignored. Another concern is safety. The room doors do not have an internal security latch or chain. The door can be opened with a key, but there is no additional lock from the inside that guests can use for their own peace of mind. Overall, this was a very

Hotel is ideally located to get bus or light rail anywhere you need in the city.

Underground shopping was a pleasant surprise. I didn't have to leave the hotel. A great Shabbat experience in an enormous dining room with a printed schedule of events.

My stay at the Jerusalem Gate Hotel was okay overall, but there were a few disappointing parts. Some of the staff made me feel a bit unwelcome at times, and the synagogue was not available when I needed it, which was inconvenient. The room also felt somewhat outdated and gray, and housekeeping could have paid a little more attention to detail when making the bed. With some improvements to service and room upkeep, the experience could be much better.

Good breakfast food Very well located in the city, however it is located on top of the main junction at the entrance of the city, so there is more or less constant traffic hooting outside your window, with resistant cars and buses rushing past you

Clean room, and perfect position near all transport and shops, so convenient
