Stepping back to the Raj. A beautiful palace hotel, we had a large suite room overlooking one of the courtyards. A few steps down to the sitting area, a large bathroom and sleeping area. No elevator, so lots of stairs to the rooms. The dining room is exquisite, but could be lit a little softer. Wonderful food and drinks. We ate on the patio one evening, a lovoly setting.

The hotel is very tired and needs a significant upgrade to meet modern standards and justify the room rates. The bed in our room was a board with a hard mattress on an iron frame , although the linen was clean and changed daily. The food was passable but not of a high standard particularly the breakfast, whilst plentiful was lacked quality. The communal areas were nice with an atmosphere of wellbeing and the coffee shop was very good. The staff appeared tired and whilst pleasant enough seemed subdued. The hotel has a huge potential but does require modernisation to meet current day expectations ,the room cost and also appears to be living on a past reputation. WiFi was very poor in our room . If we had booked a longer stay we would have moved after the first evening, I read the five star reviews and wonder if they were staying in a different hotel.

This is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever been! We were there for our friends wedding celebration and words can’t describe how wonderful it was! Everything is perfect and flawless, the room is a statement by itself the food is great, the decor is awe! If you’re in Jaipur don’t think twice!

Close to the end of our tour through Rajasthan we stayed here for two nights. It was a real highlight! We had a historic room looking onto a small court. The furniture was completely plated in silver. The room was huge, with a comfortable sitting area, dining table and powder room besides the bathroom. Everything decorated nicely and a display of jewellery. The bed was very comfortable and the room comfortably warm. A newspaper was at the door every morning. The only place where we had this service. We had no problems with the internet. Food was delicious, but really expensive. A large selection for breakfast, which was excellent, too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The whole palace is very beautiful, with different courts and a beautiful pool. A true gem. The gym is not inviting indeed, but who needs a gym in this setting?

We stayed at the property in December thinking that it was going to be a stay we would remember for the rest of our lives believing it was a proper place but it's not. It has rooms that are average and with non-existent views in spite of us booking an expensive Heritage Presidential room. First of all they messed up our booking as we had 3 pax and they said they only had reservation for 2 pax when we actually had proof of our reservation for 3pax. They charged us a daily rate of $50 for a roll away bed. We could have bought a brand new king bed for that amount! Their customer service is abismal at best and we feel sick after eating at their restaurant. We experienced this poor level of service and a subpar room and property even after holding the highest tier status for the Hyatt hotel chain. I dread how they would have treated us if we had no status at all. There are ***y much better options in Jaipur even within the Hyatt brand so I would recommend you not waste your time here especially when on holiday and book some place else. You do not want to have any regrets later, trust me.

We stayed for 3 days, and really enjoyed our time here. We had a beautiful room looking on to a little courtyard, the room was very spacious and comfortable, it felt like we were staying in a palace with ornate furnishings. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. It felt like an oasis of calm after a day of sightseeing in the bustle of Jaipur. Perhaps the bathroom was a little dated and could be upgraded - it’s lovely having a traditional claw foot bath but not so practical for showering. But all in all a wonderful stay.

The Raj Palace Jaipur We stayed 2 nights here as part of our Golden Triangle tour and for my partner’s birthday. The Raj Palace is a beautiful oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Jaipur. From the moment we pulled up on the driveway. It exuded calmness. The door*** dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire warmly greeted us and welcomed us to the hotel. The one thing that is a running theme here is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single one that we had any dealing with, from front office to restaurant staff to housekeeping, to maintenance to ***agement were a pleasure to deal with. We used the coffee shop and the main restaurant. The quality of food and service was exceptional. Our first morning marked my partner’s birthday. We received roses and a lovely cake… thank you. Breakfast is a nice spread of local and international choices. The rooms are traditional, palatial and beautifully appointed. Huge in size with an extremely comfortable bed. The one developmental point of this hotel is the technology. As a 5 star hotel, they need to ensure the WiFi works all the time. The televisions need upgrading, as well as the channel listing updating. None of the international news channels worked. Having said this, I don’t want to detract from our amazing experience. Thank you for making our stay special. 🙏🏼

This is what you expect thinking of a stay on a trip to India! It is one of the oldest castles in the area, around 300 years old, ie more or less dating from the founding of Jaipur. Beautiful courtyards, excellent service, great food. Location is close all the sight of the town center. A nice spice shop just at the entrance gate. Lots of marble, hence, maybe sounds are traveling more than usual at the hotel. Beautiful pool, but it is not the season. The gym equipment is very old, probably the only remark I have.

This positives about this hotel is the building itself is simply stunning and the employees that work there are very kind. The food was good and was multi cuisine but we had Indian food only. Our room was very large and historic. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable the matress was thin and had been placed on some ply wood. The bed itself was more for show and to suite the heritage feel rather than comfort. Without sounding too harsh I would say the furnishings lacked any luxry including cheap towels. We paid £400 pernight. I just expected more for our money especially as we have stayed at cheaper hotels since and they have really been 5 star It feels like the hotel needs some investment to improve the overall experience for the guests.
