Hotel Xauen

Disappointing hotel in the middle of Jaen. Very hard to find even with sat nav as most of the city centre is a one-way system with numerous traffic restrictions. Parking is in an underground garage about 50 metres from the hotel and is chargeable. Our small room was in need of a lot of TLC. Dated furniture, holes in the wall, a safe that did not work, sockets with no power and pathetic air conditioning. We were only staying one night otherwise we would have requested a change. Breakfast had a very restricted menu and you had to obtain coffee, tea etc from a vending machine (no charge). All in all a substandard experience and one that we would not wish to repeat.

There is an underground parking lot, with a steep slope. The hotel room is not small, and the location is very good. There is a cafe across the road, where you can have breakfast. You can walk to the cathedral and the hotel within 10 minutes.

Convenient location, great rooms, easy and free on site parking but : 9:45 and no more bread. See pictures of the fantastic selection. Breakfast finishes at 11. No manager on site. Nobody replacing him/her, so : nobody to complain to (except Tripadvisor). Lady at reception said they would bring bread down to the breakfast room but of course they never did (she just wanted me to get out of her face, I guess). Swimming pool closed. Tea but no coffee in the room. I was told If you want coffee you have to order it by calling room service. When you call room service, nobody picks up because there is only one person in charge at that time of the morning and that person is busy doing other things. Breakfast buffet has instant coffee sachets so why not put two in the room ? I asked them in the evening to put an Icepack in the freezer for me because I needed it to take care of a muscle injury in the morning. They gave it back to me at room temperature. NOT 4 star service. Who is in charge here ? Round up your staff and speak to them !

Poor service throughout! Most disappointing. We requested a double bed, the room had 2 singles. We asked for them to be put together, impossible! We asked for tea/ coffee facilities in the room , impossible. We asked to have our light lunch on the patio, impossible. The swimming pool area has zero service, no tea, coffee, drinks etc. The pool area is poorly maintained. You have to ask for a code at reception to use the ground floor toilet. These people have zero concept of ”service”
Infanta Cristina

The hotel is very nice and very nice and very nice. In a few days, within the same week, I have stayed 3 days at Hotel Infanta Cristina and appreciated your room and unhuman treatment. I had to print 2 pages of a manifest type in favour of the city of Jaén in front of UNESCO and have warned me of the possible poor quality of printing and, despite this, the 10m €uro fee per page, A message clearly opposed to the customer's need; of course I did not print, I went to an alternative hotel (where I was not even a guest and I was print free and on the walk. Similarly, the reservation was made for 2 people, but the second was unable to travel and host**** due to the death of a direct family, as they requested compensation for the higher payment made, by a non-contracted breakfast, The answer is that ”it is not possible because the wholesale reservation does not allow any changes”. I will try to take into account the treatment received for future reservations.

The hotel is well located. We reserve it as a night stay and the experience has been good. It is clean, the bedroom is comfortable and breakfast is fine; it is a buffet but they serve it, you can't take it directly. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
