"The so-called lake view room was a far cry from the promotional photos. You could only see the lake in the distance if you stood on the balcony. Breakfast was very simple, with only one vegetable dish. Boiled peanuts in their shells counted as one dish, and boiled edamame in their shells counted as another. This doesn't match the price at all. There are no shops or supermarkets nearby, which is very inconvenient if you don't have a car. Fuxian Lake itself is beautiful."

"The villa has a swimming pool, which was a delight for the kids. The room amenities were a bit dated, and the hair dryer wasn't very effective, taking ages to dry my hair. I'd recommend updating the facilities. Also, while there's a pool, there's no clothes rack or pole, which was a bit unfriendly."
