The hotel has seen better days. The first room, booked with a garden view, was awful. The view was directly onto a wall with water pipes and other cables. There was no light by the bed, and the only electrical outlets were in the bathroom. The walls were paper-thin. These are just a few issues; I could list more. After complaining, I received an upgrade to a room with a pool view. The room was significantly better. The food was tasty, but the selection was limited and basic. Breakfast consisted of a choice from the Tipico menu or fruit and pancakes, with no variation from day to day. Apart from one person at reception who was truly unpleasant, everyone else was very friendly and helpful.

The facilities are rather basic, but the hotel's back door connects to the beach, making it convenient to get there.

Our stay at South Beach hotel was truly fantastico. The room with the Ocean/Pool view balcony, is totally worth the extra couple of dollars. The stay was like out of a fairy tale with three sets of French doors going out on to the balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You could here the sound of the ocean all night as a breeze blew in. Breakfast - delicious, and outside - poolside bar. Not a crowded beach. Truly super nice. We could have stayed there a year.

The room was fine. Pretty bare bones accommodations, but great location right by the beach. The free breakfast is a nice touch and was very good.

Super beautiful hotel. Loved that there was a bar and restaurant on site and breakfast included. The fit up front when we checked in, Josh was super helpful and gave us so many recommendations on what to do
