A revisit after 5 years. If I were to describe this ryokan in one word, it would be ”beauty”. From the appearance of the gate, and from the atmosphere the moment you step into the entrance, it's already exceptional (usually there are one or two questions or retorts, but none at all). A truly first class ryokan with tradition and unique style. What's cool even in the bath lol. Since it's Shuzenji, the quality of the hot water isn't that good, but maybe because there aren't many rooms, it doesn't overlap with other guests, so it's comfortable. For those who can afford it, there are rooms with open-air baths and super-luxury rooms. (I can't do it yet lol) The food is standard kaiseki. The sense of the vessel is truly amazing, and the food itself is wonderful. I'm not the type to find surprises or new discoveries, but Coco has originality and a sense of specialness that makes me feel at ease. The amazing thing about this ryokan is that it doesn't make you feel formal at all, even though it's particular about beauty and has ”class and dignity”. There is nothing like the ulterior motive of trying to show better than the essence. Therefore, families are very welcome. When I first visited him, my eldest son was 1 and a half years old. I wondered what would happen when I took my 3 children with me, but I think the children were a little quieter than usual, probably because of the atmosphere of the inn...lol As far as I know, it's definitely the best inn One.

I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. I was able to spend very comfortable between arrival and departure. It's a short walk to the hot spring town, so I could take a walk to the bamboo diameter before dinner or go to Shuzenji Temple, which opens at 5 in the morning. It was a little far from the map than other inns with the same price and I was wondering which one to choose, but there was no problem with the distance to sightsee. Employees 々 treatment, semi-open-air (hot spring) rooms with forest views, comfortable bedding, specialty products from various places are used, and all of them were delicious. The sleeping bath in the large communal bath was really a lie down and it was my first experience. The fresh flowers and furnishings in the well-maintained garden were also impressive. The bath towels and amenities in the room are colored with embroidery and seals, and where did you put your toothbrush and cup that you often use during your trip? It didn't work, and even if I hung the towel I used, it was good to know which of myself was embroidered in the color. This was my first time with such a service and I was happy with the consideration.

My family and I loved our experience at this onsen! The accommodations are first-rate and blend superbly a traditional japanese inn experience with modern comforts and luxury. The hot spring baths are all private and thoughtfully integrated into the rooms. It's incredibly relaxing to submerge yourself in one after a long day exploring the Izu peninsula! The service is impeccable and the staff are uniformly gracious and attentive. Finally, the food at the inn might have been the highlight! Breakfast and dinner are included and each is a high-class, multi-course meal. We were all amazed by how ornate, delicious, and varied the food was each time we sat down. Overall, we could not recommend this stay highly enough! It helped make our experience in Japan very special and one we'll cherish for many years.

Our party of nine stayed for four days and three nights at Hostel Knot and enjoyed every moment of the unique school tour. Our hosts were knowledgeable about Izu and generously took us around, organising wonderful workshops in calligraphy and making sushi and taking us fishing. Their hospitality was top notch. We occupied the individual rooms and one double room with tatami and liked the traditional atmosphere of the whole hostel. An unforgettable, meaningful and fun experience.

Shuzenji Onsen is more beautiful than other hot spring areas in Izu. The hot spring culture has a long history and has a stronger sense of tourism and vacation. 　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

I chose Taizanso because of the high reviews. I enjoy eating, so the fact that the reviews for the food were good was the number one factor. Due to the corona sickness, all the dishes were lined up on the table except for rice and dessert. Originally, black rice was served last, but white rice was served as an appetizer. The black rice for dinner and wasabi rice for breakfast were delicious. I don't think this dish can be helped if it's a corona countermeasure dish, but I thought it was a very ordinary dish that was neither acceptable nor impossible. If the usual kaiseki cuisine is better, can I visit again? The public bath didn't feel smaller than I imagined (image from word of mouth). The quality of the hot springs is good to stay warm forever, but it doesn't seem to be free-flowing. Due to the corona crisis, the two large public baths are reserved until 22:00 and then become men's and women's baths. The bath in the ordinary Japanese-style room was deep and tiled, so I didn't feel the atmosphere. It was a room on the second floor, but I think it would be better for the elderly and those with disabilities to be careful about the stairs and the room bath. Free coffee and tea was very nice. I think that the customer service of the staff is good. The inn seems to have a history, but is it clean and incense? The scent of is also soothing. You can't see the view from the room, but it's close to the center of Shuzenji, so it's good for a walk.
