Yagyu No Sho

Izu|2.48km from downtown
A revisit after 5 years. If I were to describe this ryokan in one word, it would be ”beauty”. From the appearance of the gate, and from the atmosphere the moment you step into the entrance, it's already exceptional (usually there are one or two questions or retorts, but none at all). A truly first class ryokan with tradition and unique style. What's cool even in the bath lol. Since it's Shuzenji, the quality of the hot water isn't that good, but maybe because there aren't many rooms, it doesn't overlap with other guests, so it's comfortable. For those who can afford it, there are rooms with open-air baths and super-luxury rooms. (I can't do it yet lol) The food is standard kaiseki. The sense of the vessel is truly amazing, and the food itself is wonderful. I'm not the type to find surprises or new discoveries, but Coco has originality and a sense of specialness that makes me feel at ease. The amazing thing about this ryokan is that it doesn't make you feel formal at all, even though it's particular about beauty and has ”class and dignity”. There is nothing like the ulterior motive of trying to show better than the essence. Therefore, families are very welcome. When I first visited him, my eldest son was 1 and a half years old. I wondered what would happen when I took my 3 children with me, but I think the children were a little quieter than usual, probably because of the atmosphere of the inn...lol As far as I know, it's definitely the best inn One.

Arai Ryokan

Shuzenji Onsen is more beautiful than other hot spring areas in Izu. The hot spring culture has a long history and has a stronger sense of tourism and vacation. Next time, I will go to Asabaro and Kikuya to experience Arai Hotel. There are more than ten buildings, large and small, which are historical buildings, especially the large bath bath, which is very old and beautiful. This alone is worth the twists and turns of the internal wooden structure corridor and the scenery of ancient trees and koi embellishments. The service has no bright spots, not even comparable to my last hotel, Inatori Ginsuisou, nor the Hoshino World. The food is even more ordinary porcelain. It's very good, but the presentation is not exquisite. The taste is either too sweet or too salty. The breakfast menu is even omitted. There is no other hot spring for guests to enjoy. There is a tea bar for guests to enjoy. The coffee and tea are charged. People have to go to work. The room by the Katsura River is very noisy and the curtains are not blackout The hotel didn't think about providing earplugs and eye masks. Fortunately, I brought them myself, otherwise I would definitely not be able to fall asleep. The service level of the hotel is far lower than that of Crane Yafu Mansion, but the price is not as high as theirs. The only hotel that is a cultural relic is well maintained Shuzenji Onsen will come again Arai will not live again. There is no other pleasant place except for the buildings built by previous generations to appreciate. The high score is also for their Inatori Ginsui Village. Although Inatori is not as good as Shuzenji Onsen, I had a very good time there. Izu Bizhu is full of sincerity

Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa

Shuzenji Onsen Katsuragawa

Izu|1.39km from downtown
■ Location Take a bus (220 yen cash only) from Shuzenji Station and get off at Miyukibashi, 2-3 minutes. The other side across the new bridge along the Katsura River. About 7 minutes on foot from Shuzenji Onsen Station on the route bus. Large high-rise inn. The scenery might be beautiful during autumn leaves. ■Nearby Attractions We recommend going to Niji no Sato on a free electric bicycle. The bicycle was also made by Panasonic and was new, and it was powerful even on the slopes. You can get there in about 20 minutes. At Niji no Sato, you can enjoy steam locomotives and views of Mt. Fuji. Also, if you have a receipt for staying at Shuzenji Onsen, Niji no Sato will give you a 30% discount. ■ Room The room was spacious and the bed was set on tatami mats, so it was comfortable to sleep. It was nice to have a humidifier. ■ Meals Buffet style with a competitive number of items. If you are with children, you can enjoy it in an entertainment mood. It might be more fun if you make it a fair specification such as cotton candy. On the contrary, it is a mess, so it is not recommended for those who want to enjoy it slowly or emphasize the atmosphere. ■ Amenities In front of the Daily Yamazaki convenience store in the ryokan, you can take whatever you want as much as you like. I think that management efforts to reduce personnel and maintenance costs are rational, only for Obako Hotel. I think the service of choosing a yukata is very good. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special yukata for a fee? If there is a design that looks good on Instagram. ■ Hospitality The check-in time was around 17:00, so I contacted them in advance. At that time, there are only two dinners at 18:00 and 18:30, and the 19:45 two-part system is not being done at this time, so I hurried to the hotel without eating lunch. At the front desk of the inn, it was said that after 18:00, there would be a two-part system at 19:30, and there was a discrepancy between the phone and time. Although I complained about it, the woman at the reception was indifferent, with no apology or confirmation, whether the complaint was a daily occurrence. Perhaps the person on the phone misunderstood and told the time, but I asked if there was 19:45, and although I insisted that it was not, I regret that I told the wrong time. . I can't help but make a mistake, but I was disappointed because there was no follow-up at the reception.

Meijikan

Izu
[2 10,000 yen for 3 days. So the service is so good and the location is good. Is it okay ⁈] I stayed at 2 nights and 3 days (about 10,500 yen per person). The Meijikan, a place of the western part of the Izu Peninsula, is located along the sea of the land called Tohi. I think that all rooms are ocean view and a nice inn with a good sea even on the low hierarchy. [Room] It was a room with a wide edge between 8 tatami mats and 4 tatami mats, and an independent washbasin by the bathroom. Is it a room of the inn that is commonly constructed from the Showa period? It is a room with a year, but there is no impression of ”old dirty” because it is cleaned properly. Since the power supply is small, it is recommended to bring in a power tap when charging a lot of IT equipment. Above all, the wide edge is a window, so the sea is firmly visible. It is a very comfortable space, especially when the sunset sinks from the room. At night, the same wide edge, all the lights are turned off and the windows are opened a little, and the outside lights and waves are cleared to the ears, and the sake is enjoyed. It's been a long time since I had such a luxury. [Hot spring] Although it is a long established inn, there is a clean feeling in the facilities and space. Of course, I feel the deteriorated part, but it is a pleasant space that can be seen that it is cleaned quite firmly. It is also nice to incorporate the light outside into the bath full of eyes. The water is clear, and the temperature is not too hot and too wet. I used it in the morning in the rental state, but this is also a luxury time. The cherry blossom rental open-air bath has two types: ”urara no Yu” and ”nukumi no Yu”. It costs 45 minutes and 2200 yen, but I think you can experience it once. The facilities are even more beautiful. There is also an inner hot water in the space made of wood, and you can spend an elegant time watching the sea in the open air outside. Of course, there is a good washroom. Unlike the public bath, this is a little hot because of the hot water of the water. You can add the amount of water to your preference and enjoy it even if it is slightly heated or firmly wet. [Meal] ※ This time it is unused. I will try to experience it next time. [In-house] 1F There are many activities in the lobby that children can enjoy, such as souvenir shops and sweets shops, game corners (※ when I visited, I was closed because of corona). There is a large cart for carrying luggage, and it is safe even if it is a big luggage with a child. [Customer Service] There was no meal, so there was no contact, but when I left the car, I rented the open air, etc., I was very bright and gentle. It was very pleasant. [Others] It is very thankful for choshi. There are baby buses, baby chairs, toys, etc. in the public bath and the rental open air. In the room, there are too much comfort amenities for mothers such as mat and diaper for infants, and all of them are unified with characters and cute things, and it is a very happy service. At the reception, it was a service that was exhaustive for the child to provide a diaper if it was not enough. [Overall] A lodging that can be spent relaxing. And the feeling of excitement that can be played in the sea in front of you in the morning and at night. It's nice to be able to wake up with the morning light. Amazing service spirit that welcomes you with children. It was nice. The ”beauty” of the cherry blossom room is quite different from the way people feel, so compared to the new inn and hotel recently, it is said that it is a room with an old season. Personally, it was the inn that survived from the Showa period Heisei period, and I felt that it was kept clean even without renovation or renewal. In addition, the service and location are nice. And, about 10,000 yen per person in 2 nights and 3 days. Wouldn't Cospa be too good? Laughing I really appreciate you having a very slow holiday. Akari et Kaori Formerly Taizanso

Izu|1.68km from downtown
I chose Taizanso because of the high reviews. I enjoy eating, so the fact that the reviews for the food were good was the number one factor. Due to the corona sickness, all the dishes were lined up on the table except for rice and dessert. Originally, black rice was served last, but white rice was served as an appetizer. The black rice for dinner and wasabi rice for breakfast were delicious. I don't think this dish can be helped if it's a corona countermeasure dish, but I thought it was a very ordinary dish that was neither acceptable nor impossible. If the usual kaiseki cuisine is better, can I visit again? The public bath didn't feel smaller than I imagined (image from word of mouth). The quality of the hot springs is good to stay warm forever, but it doesn't seem to be free-flowing. Due to the corona crisis, the two large public baths are reserved until 22:00 and then become men's and women's baths. The bath in the ordinary Japanese-style room was deep and tiled, so I didn't feel the atmosphere. It was a room on the second floor, but I think it would be better for the elderly and those with disabilities to be careful about the stairs and the room bath. Free coffee and tea was very nice. I think that the customer service of the staff is good. The inn seems to have a history, but is it clean and incense? The scent of is also soothing. You can't see the view from the room, but it's close to the center of Shuzenji, so it's good for a walk.

Ochiairo

Izu|9.84km from downtown
We had the most wonderful time at Ochiairo! I came here for a birthday trip with my husband and best friend and we stayed in the spacious Aofuji room overlooking the river. The spatial arrangement offered more than enough space and privacy for 3 people and probably 2 couples or a family and kids. The white noise lulled us to sleep every night and it was simply magical. The international staff was so helpful to us. While we don’t speak Japanese, they did their best to understand and attend to us and it all worked out. They went above and beyond making my birthday feel very special. It was the small details that really mattered - ensuring that we had bikes and activities arranged the night before, coming to our room to teach me how to wear my yukata when I asked them to help, and even cleaning out and lovingly packaging some souvenir bento containers we arrived with when they saw them in our mini fridge! Everything about this place is just so beautiful. A few notes: - THE BATHS! When I tell you that I screamed when I saw the cave and private onsen in particular - just trust that they cannot be missed. - We are all tattooed - one of us significantly so. They have small tattoo covers but ask that you do cover them in the main bath areas (I only know this because I asked and they were incredibly polite about the advice) - We brought tattoo cover but in case you don’t want to bother, please take advantage of the absolutely stunning outdoor private baths - The food is great and eat dinner in sitting rooms upstairs (not served in your room) - You get unlimited drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) and snacks which was another pleasant surprise because they are so tasty! - The koi fish in the front swim up to you and follow you around with such enthusiasm. It’s as if they’re little pond puppies. The staff allowed us to feed them so if interested, please ask. - Don’t miss the swing next to the suspension bridge! - While I loved our room - please note that there is an abandoned hotel directly across the river from it. Kind of ruined the “I am communing with nature” vibes but it was fine in the long run. I could go on, but just trust that this place is just exceptional!

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Toi Marine Hotel

The hotel building is old but renovated and clean inside. Perfect for those who swim in the sea in the summer on the beach. It is the best location to see the sea from the room and see the sunset. Since the observation bath is a men's and women's replacement system in the morning and evening, women can soak in the hot springs while watching the sunset. Since it is very close to the Suruga Bay ferry terminal, you can also relax while watching the ferry. All-you-can-eat meals in buffet style, and there is also an all-you-can-drink plan. It's not luxurious, but the content is usually delicious. Overall, the cospa is a pretty good inn. You can walk to Doi Jinshan nearby.

The plan was changed from Minami Izu to Nishi Izu where the sea situation calmed down in diving. In the middle of that, I chose it because there was a vacant place where the meal was cut by 10000 yen per person with a luxurious 2 meal at the hot spring inn in a hurry. The amount of hot water springs seems to be the largest in Nishi Izu, and the open-air baths are very large and luxurious. However, when you look at the ingredients of the hot springs, it seems that they use circulation and disinfection. It is written as a 180,000 liter spring in a day, and 7,500 liter of hot water is springing out even in an hour, but why? But there was no smell like disinfectant in the hot water. The meal is also luxurious with many seafood including abalone and many small bowls for this price. However, the main sashimi that can be seen most is not a local seafood, and the taste is now one. Because of the relatively large hot spring inn, there are many employees and very polite service, and the room and dining room are luxurious. Because it is DOI Onsen facing the sea, I chose it with expectation of hot springs and seafood, but only two bad points were about the eye, but from the accommodation cost, it is a wonderful temperature above the price even if two points are deducted It is no doubt that it is a spring inn!

The surrounding environment is very quiet, there are free hot springs, red bridges, bamboo forests and many-year-old temples nearby. Although the hotel facilities are old, the tatami and hotel hot springs are very authentic. The package package breakfast and dinner are very good value.

If you stay at Shuzenji for more than 3 nights, this is a good choice. If only 2 nights, it is recommended to stay in a spa town. Although the hotel has a shuttle bus, it still has a distance from the center. The hotel is very old and was once an upscale hotel. There is a sense of crossing in the living, many parent-child activities can participate, and in the mountains, you can take a walk on the mountain to participate in activities. The hot springs are not amazing, it is not bad. Breakfast did not come up to eat, dinner is a buffet, there are not many varieties, but the products can be produced. And the service is really good. In general, it won't let you down.
