Four Points Flex by Sheraton Istanbul Taksim Square

Great over all experience. From the reception to the service staff to the breakfast staff. Great location too.

Would NOT recommend this place if you want to have a stress-free vacation. The hotel is only a few steps from Taksim square, so that's a plus. Neighbourhood seems pretty safe, we were only out during the day though. Havaist bus stop is just a few minutes walk away, that was convenient to get to the IST airport. Since it's Four Points Flex, the rooms are small, some layouts better and could feel spacious, but the entrance and the corridor are extremely congested for 2 people, maybe even for 1 if a bit larger/taller. Our room was on the 6th floor. The first day went fine, we gave things the benefit of the doubt and thought this is probably how it works in Turkey. And things went downhill after looking at the breakfast the next day. The only best thing I'd say was the main dishes, which filled us up a bit, and we also found out during lunch and dinner that there is a major lack of places to eat around the hotel (unless of course you can shell a fortune for steak etc). Ordering food online posed it's own "foreign card" problems. Then, after breakfast we found out that the LIFT IS OUT OF SERVICE, sportingly hoping it'll be back, we climbed to the 6th floor. But even after a while the lift was still out of service. One of kind persons from the reception accepted that it happened daily for the past 5 days and ranted like they were also sick of it. But when it was also off the next morning at after breakfast, we were wanted to move out of the hotel, instead requested a room in the lower floor. Another non-kind reception staff said a room is available on the 2nd floor, and when we were done packing and called for help with the luggage, told us the room was given off. And so casually without an apology. The next day, the lift was out again and this time there was a room available on the 1st floor. But we had to hear the receptionist BLAME US because it was OUR FAULT for missing the opportunity the previous day. Such a low bar for service and hospitality. A bitter taste for my whole trip thanks to the reception staff! Who don't even smile or greet us anymore. Cold! Would be wise to shell out a bit more, if you can and stay at better hotel. Or if you're white maybe things are better for you.

The bathroom design is flawed. Water splashed out and flooded the entire flood every time we took a shower. Breakfast was very basic. The only plus point was the location.

Location is good but abit noisy as it’s at the street, room is small though clean. The toilet layout is not good that the water will splash out and whole toilet will be wet

The staff here are very friendly and warm. They always greet us whenever we pass by the reception desk. The room is clean and everything works perfectly. Room service is always on time. The location is great, and there are no weird smells in the room. It also doesn’t feel damp at all.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the team — especially Elizabeth, Burak, and Serkan. They were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Their hospitality made me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. Highly recommended, and I would definitely come back again!
