Excellent location : in few minutes on foot you can reach the most touristic places and, in few minutes, come back for a rest. It’s a 8 rooms hotel, a little bit old but still in order. Front desk very friendly and speaks English. Breackfast with a wide choice. Recommended!!!

The transportation is very convenient and close to the Blue Mosque
I didn’t have breakfast because I had to catch a flight.
The female shopkeeper is very enthusiastic and the service is attentive
However, the street is very noisy at night, so it is recommended to bring earplugs when checking in.
If you choose to visit attractions, staying here is a good choice

The room is clean and tidy, and it's convenient to travel. It's an 8-minute walk to the Blue Mosque. The service staff are super nice. The waitress also gave me a small gift before refunding the card. Thank you. I hope I have the opportunity to come again.

The service attitude is good, the room is a bit small, and the location is good. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are both within walking distance. There are restaurants near the hotel and the prices are affordable.
The hotel has a perfect location in the Heart of Sultanhamet, close to most famous touristic areas and a lot of restaurants. The room an The 4th floor was clean , bathroom a little smal but an excellent balance quality/ price. The lady at the reception was super kind. I can only suggest to adjust the breakfast:)

family run hotel in the perfect location for seeing the main sights of Istanbul. It is just a few minutes walk from historic Mosques, the Topaki Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Excellent transport links to see the rest of the city. Tram and Metro nearby. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good. Fresh bread, cheese, cereal, pastries, tea, coffee and fruit juices. However the best aspect of the hotel is the staff. The owner is a former wrestler whose trophies and medals are displayed in the reception/breakfast room. Special mention must be made of the lovely young lady who serves breakfast. She is so kind and will tell you lots of information on Istanbul and is genuinely interested in what you've done and experienced in Istanbul. I highly recommend the Arife Sultan Hotel.

The hotel is small in size and is ideal for a stay in heart of Sultanahmet. The hotel is very clean, reasonably priced and the staff are so friendly and helpful. A fresh continental breakfast is included in the room rate and was very good. The hotel also organised private transfers to and from Istanbul airport for €40 each way and everything went perfectly. Arrival at midnight in Istanbul and departure from hotel at 4am with no issues or additional costs added. I would recommend the hotel and would definitely use again myself should I return to Istanbul.

A very small family run hotel with a personal touch in an excellent location of the city with most of the attractions within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Nicely kept, clean and comfortable. Definitely worth the price.

The hotel was located centrally in Sultanahmet, within a walking distance of the big four sights (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace) of Istanbul. There were plenty of restaurants in the nearby streets and some of them had good prices combined with tasty food. Even though the location was central, it was on a quiet street, so there was practically no street noise that would have disturbed. Our room was tiny (the two beds barely fit there and also the shower was super small), but we knew that already when booking. The room was also somewhat worn down. Maintenance was slightly neglected, e.g. the aircon started working with a delay when switching it on (it blinked a warning about a fault before starting) and the aircon remote control had empty batteries when we arrived. Our room was on the first floor and we could hear the noise from the front desk area in our room. Fortunately the hotel was small, so there wasn't much noise coming from there. There was a complimentary breakfast available at the front desk (literally, the items were placed on the desk) between 8 and 10:30. The selection was quite limited, but the items were fresh - e.g. fresh bread was delivered from the bakery in the morning. On two days we had to go before 8 and some items (cereals, eggs, apples, tomatoes and strawberries) were available from 7, but not the full selection. Bottled water was available for purchase at the front desk, but we got our first bottles for free when asking about it. On the day before our check-out the room wasn't cleaned, but on other days there were no issues with the cleaning.

Budget hotel with an ideal location. The location is so ideal that it can cover almost any shortcomings. Judge for yourself: 1) The T1 tram stop is a 3-minute walk (and this line passes through the most important attractions); 2) Marmara metro station is a 10-minute walk (from here you can get anywhere); 3) To Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, Topkapi, the Grand Bazaar - 5 to 10 minutes walk - everything is nearby. It takes a little longer to get to the Galata Bridge, but also not much - about 15 minutes; 4) With all that said, you can’t hear any particularly loud noise: the hotel is in a relatively quiet side street. The rooms are small, but this is normal for this type of hotel. The room has a refrigerator, safe, hairdryer, TV. The heating is adjustable, you can turn it down/increase, we didn’t freeze in January, things dried normally. Cleaning every day, no expense spared on towels. Breakfast is modest and always the same, but also quite decent: tea, coffee, juice, bread, jams, 2 types of cheese, olives, fruits (oranges, bananas, apples), hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereals, herbs, cookies . The staff are nice people, they try to help, answer questions (they communicated in English). In the end, I don’t want to concentrate on the shortcomings at all; they didn’t ruin our vacation. And in principle, we are not picky people: well, it’s a little cramped, well, everything is not new, the shelf in the refrigerator is bent - these are little things. But it would be desirable to eliminate more serious shortcomings. Namely: - The door to the toilet did not close properly, and when they managed to close it, they could not open it. I had to call for help from the reception (they opened it with a key). They didn't take any more risks; - When it was raining heavily, decent puddles flowed onto the floor from the side of the window. They suggested solving the problem by placing towels in the cracks - so they began to do so; - On the last day, the rain also broke through the ceiling (we lived on the top floor), and quite intense drops began right above the bed. We identified the problem, went for a walk, when we arrived it wasn’t dripping. Either they fixed it (visually imperceptibly), or because the rain stopped)) For us, I repeat, even all of the above did not spoil our vacation, but someone would probably rate it “1” if faced with something similar. So if such things deeply shock you, Arif is probably not your option. And if you look at everything philosophically, come to the hotel only to sleep and look for the ideal location - this is the place for you)) Decide for yourself.

Hotel with few rooms, in a central but quiet location. The rooms have air conditioning and a minibar. They are small but clean. The very kind staff. We booked the Bosphorus boat trip at €19 each for 3 hours (very nice). They also offer transfers to and from the airport for €40. Excellent quality/price ratio

Great location. All attractions are within walking distance. The hotel staff is always ready to help. Very responsive and bright people. (They even told me fortunes for my coffee) Thank you very much for the vacation.
