Hotels near Barco Telamon encallado, Isla de Lanzarote

Overall a decent hotel for the price :). The hotel is split in two (one side by the sea is Royal and the other half is the normal side). There is a road that splits the hotels with a pedestrian crossing between them. Everything at the Royal side was a bit nicer tbf, with all guests being able to use both sides. We were all inclusive without being Royal but were able to eat at the buffet on the Royal side and use the pool there etc (the pool with the heart shaped centre is on the Royal side). There is just one (heated) Royal pool and one Royal restaurant we weren't allowed in, it's all cordoned off so you know where you're allowed to go and where you aren't. The hotel was overall very clean so no issues there, which we were slightly worried about having read previous reviews. Food was good overall with lots of options and different themes each eve. There was a good selection of gluten free food too. The puddings weren't great but there was an ice cream station which would be fun for kids. The all inclusive cocktails were not so great either but the wines were quite nice (cava is included). They had cocktail slushies for when you were poolside which were refreshing. There was a station in the pool bar where you could grab food to eat on your deckchair (nuggets/onion rings/hamburgers/salads). Our room was on the other side of the hotel in a not so great location, however the room itself (junior suite) was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were also super comfy and soft. We were ground floor unfortunately and only given quite crap plastic chairs for the balcony with no table, although all other balconies seemed to have nicer wicker chairs and tables. The worst part of the stay was the a/c in the room which didn't work (as others had mentioned). It does turn on and make noise but unfortunately our room was several degrees warmer than the outside temperature so we were hot all week. We would have said something to the hotel but it seems it's a known issue with all rooms. We also didn't get a keycard which turns the power on in the rooms, thankfully we were able to use an old debit card we had which worked instead. The wristband you get opens your room door. You get a bottle of water at the start of the stay but that doesn't get restocked. The bars/restaurants also don't give out bottles (but there are plenty of water stations with cups), it's probably worth bringing a refillable bottle to use for the duration that you can bring back to your room etc. The pools weren't heated so were a little fresh this time of year, however we didn't have many issues getting a deckchair which was good. There was a beach towel service so no need to bring your own. The rooms were cleaned and serviced each day. There was always something going on to get involved with, from fitness classes to evening bingo and live bands. Despite this the overall vibe of the hotel was chilled and not too noisy we found. Amazing! staff are friendly and swimming pool is lush. Rooms are decent and very clean. Lift to each floor so you don’t have to walk up the stairs after a long day. Slide in the pool for kids. Jacuzzis for the adults. Food is yummy and there are a few options even as a fussy eater.

Stayed for two nights whilst on vacation exploring Lanzarote, paying a pretty good price for a last-minute booking. The compact hotel is very well located near the centre of Arrecife, on the coast almost directly opposite the Castillo de San Gabriel. There is no parking available at the hotel, although there is a large public 24hr underground carpark near the Arrecife Gran Hotel about a 10-minute walk away (around 30€ for a day and a half). Check in was quick and friendly, despite a late-night arrival. My room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the back streets of Arrecife. The room was comfortable although the décor was perhaps a little old. Good WIFI, but the room had only one free power socket (as the fridge had been unplugged before I arrived). The bed was fairly comfortable, some noise from the street at night, but nothing too loud. My room didn’t have aircon, which wasn’t an issue in October, but maybe an issue in the summer? Breakfast was on the terrace at the top of the hotel giving really good views; and a good selection to food choose from. Overall, a well located hotel to explore Arrecife and the surrounding area, but given the limited facilities at the hotel and lack of parking maybe better for short stays!

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views, clean and complete with everything. Our mini bar was empty but there were 2 bottles of water in the room which we really appreciated.

I didn't like that 1 week before we called and went to ask if they could change the room for one with a view of the beach and they told us that they would do it the same day we entered and then that day they had no room available and I booked there just because to have a room with a view of the beach for a birthday surprise that I wanted to do. I thought it was very bad of him.

Stayed here for a week in December and it certainly wasn’t the hotel we were expecting it’s meant to be a 4* but really it’s only a 2* pushing to a 3*. Room in block 5 and really small, food in the main restaurant was cold had to heat most things up in the microwave which wasn’t ideal. Swimming pool was meant to be a heated pool in winter but it was ice cold you couldn’t even get into it which wasn’t good with two teenagers with us. The only positive things I have to say about this hotel is the staff they’re so friendly and helpful, when we booked this hotel in January 2024 it was called Be live experience and reviews were great but since it’s been bought over and a name change it’s definitely went down hill. Everyone we spoke with have all said they’d never book this hotel again even though some of the couples had be going to this hotel for years but they’re definitely not going back again due to the drop in standards, I for one will not book this hotel again only upside is it’s in a great location and on the beach front but so are a few other hotels which I will book in the future.

Wonderful holiday from start to finish because of such a fantastic hotel and all of the staff. The food was fabulous and there was a really good choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and informative, the entertainment team especially Lucia,Franchesca and Phililpe were great fun,friendly and do an amazing job. The facilities were great with something for everyone. We had such a relaxing holiday and we have already recommended this place.
