Happy that the hotel staff allowed me to check in much earlier as I reached before 7 am. The room was big and the amenities were good. During my stay, Amelia was very helpful in offering suggestions about transport to the attractions that I wanted to go to. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and will definitely choose French Hotel the next time I go to Ipoh.

Location was within walking distance to popular eateries and old town.  Hotel was a bit old, with bleach smell along the corridors.

Very very impressed with the hotel's amenities. The room is clean and well kept. Location is about 10 to 15 mins walk to night bazaars and to Ipoh Parade shopping centre. There s a few coffeshops nearby too.Will definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Ipoh in the near future.

2nd time in Ipoh and stayed at French Hotel for the second time as well. The king bed room is spacious, bathroom is spacious and it is a quiet hotel too. Bed linen and pillow covers are super clean!!!!

The location is great, walking distance to lots of kopitiam, chicken rice shop, mamak restaurants, Malaysian food and dim sum house. The room is decently clean and spacious. Beds and pillows were comfortable, most necessary amenities were provided except for the tooth brush (wonder why) Parking is free, located outside a Malay restaurant, about 3 mins walk. Highly recommended

Quite affordable and clean hotel for short stay in ipoh. There is kettle, mini fridge, bottled water. Do bring your own room slippers and toothbrush. There is a 7-eleven beside. Our twin bed bedroom on level 4 faced the main road hence slight car sound.

When I arrived at the hotel entrance door with both my hands holding luggage and bag, the door guide was at the side of the door and wont even help to push open the door. I had to unload my bags on floor and push open the door myself. My room elecronic door lock has problem that it cannot open with key card. The reception offer alternative to provide manusl, physical key , but I requsted o change room, then its ok. The location is good, within short walking distance to many eatery and biskuit shops. The room is very clean. The TV has a good reception. Free Wifi is provided. bath room is reasonbly spacious, shower water is strong enough. Room space is big enough. I stayed in deluxe king room. A deposit Rm 100 is collected upon check in. Paid Rm3 at check in ref. Government regulation.

Our second time at French hotel. We like the location as it is within walking distance of a couple of Chinese vegetarian restaurants. This time we also discovered nearby a fruit wholesaler who sold us some very nice lychees and apples. The hotel is right next to a 7-11 for a 24 hour supply of water and snacks. The wifi was a bit weak in the room this time. The hotel and the room were really clean - kudos to the housekeeping team. The folks at reception were also great. All in all, it was a good stay.

Great basic hotel to stay in Ipoh. Food are nearby and there is also a 7-11 next door. There is a big parking lot that hotel guests can park free (need to display the hotel slip on the screen to verify that u r a hotel guest). However I prefer to park opposite and pay the municipal fees. Room is clean, the bed is the hard type and I like it very much.

Overall it's a very good hotel. The room was large and clean, so I had a great time. The hotel is in a good location, about 5 minutes by taxi from the Ipoh station, but the area around the hotel is very quiet and you can sleep peacefully at night. Since you can walk to the center of Ipoh, it is also suitable for sightseeing. Having a 24 hour convenience store next to the hotel was very convenient during my stay. My only regret was that the cleaning staff were talking loudly in the hallway for a long time, and their voices were very noisy. If I come to Ipoh again, I would like to book this hotel again.

It’s walking distance to several tourist spot and good food, such as Deen Cendol Corner. The hotel itself has directory map in the lobby to guide you which spot you need to go! The only amenities they didn’t give is toothbrush and paste, so make sure bring yours. Room is spacious, clean, bed is quite spacious with medium soft type mattress and pillow. There’s a safety box deposit in room but unfortunately I got broken one on the battery side. Not so important if you don’t need to keep anything there. Check-in and check-out process was smooth.
