"Pros: There is bellman service available to help us take care of our luggages when we arrived before check-in time, so we could go for lunch without our heavy baggages. Even though we rejected the enthusiastic bellman who offer to bring our luggages to our rooms, as we were not used to it, he continued to serve us graciously when we were lost (since the room numbers all starts with 1 followed by the storey). Located next to the sea with a shallow beach, Seashells is a prime location for beach swimming and kayaking. Safety signs were in placed and blow dryers were installed to prevent slipping at the ground floor. Restaurant serves delicious breakfast. Cons: We didn't receive a welcome drink that was supposed to be part of the hotel's check-in experience. The check-in timing is 3pm, unlike most other hotels that offers early check-in, this hotel doesn't. Generally, Seashells is a great stay and deserves its 5 stars rating for its location, cleanliness and facilities. Safety is a bonus point, given that lift access requires a room card. Although we did not have the opportunity to experience the sauna and steam bath, there were many options in the vicinity."

"Breakfast was absurd in the best way. A full Vietnamese spread bánh cuốn, phở, fresh dragon fruit — plus Western options if that's your thing. The beach bar does a solid passion fruit mojito and the staff remembered our names by day two, which always earns points with me. The stretch of beach out front is quiet, clean, and the sunsets are the kind that make you annoyed at your own phone for not capturing what your eyes are seeing."

"If there were ten stars, I'd give this hotel ten stars! When you're in Phu Quoc, definitely choose a five-star hotel like this one. The island itself is a bit boring, so picking a good hotel is really important! ✅ The facilities are perfect, everything you need is there: a gym, a stunning swimming pool, a private beach, an open-air restaurant/bar, and an outdoor bar with a schedule and movie screenings in the evening. ✅ The hygiene is excellent, and the room is cleaned daily. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. ✅ The overall service was very friendly! This is key! Honestly, the service industry in Vietnam generally isn't the best, it can't compare to Thailand. Only these big hotels offer top-notch service, from the tone of their voices to how they handle things, everything makes you feel very comfortable! It was an experience that was well worth the money, and you absolutely CANNOT miss the sunset! This pool design is just gorgeous!"

"😍 This is the best value-for-money hotel on Phu Quoc (and I say this after traveling around the island for a month). "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The bungalows are nice and clean, the staff is lovely and helpful, and the gardens are well-trimmed. The food was very good, and the beach area is well-maintained. The swimming pool is especially nice and clean However, the only downside was the sea/water quality. Unfortunately, there was plastic and garbage floating in the water, along with a bad smell. It seemed like waste from the surrounding area was washing up, which was disappointing. The waves were also quite high, making swimming less enjoyable. Overall, I still highly recommend this hotel"

"We were searching based on geolocation on Trip.com and Google Maps, and it turned out the apartments were in a different building next door. Make sure to confirm the address beforehand so you don't wander around in the heat later. We waited 40 minutes of our paid check-in time because, for some reason, the room wasn't ready. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they just told me, ”everyone understands and waits, so you should too.” The room itself is excellent and modern. There were some issues with the cleaning, but they fixed them promptly. The administrator was quick to respond to messages. The room was clean, but the balcony was incredibly dirty; it was unpleasant to stand on barefoot. The washing machine was a nice bonus. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but fine for a short stay. Even though the rooftop pool closes at 8 PM, you'll still have the chance to watch all the shows and the final fireworks at 9:30 PM; they only ask you to exit the pool after that."

The only eateries are attached to guesthouses (cooked by the owners themselves, which takes a long time, is expensive, and not tasty). To go for a walk or find some entertainment, you have to go to the center (20-30 minutes away)."

"This was my first time staying at a Novotel, and I was impressed with this international chain. The hotel amenities are great, with a dedicated shuttle service and a sightseeing buggy within the grounds. There are two swimming pools and a fantastic breakfast buffet. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all excellent, always smiling and patiently explaining everything. Right across the street, there's a pedestrian street that pretty much covers all your daily needs for food, accommodation, and transportation."

GGuest UserWe went as a 3 generational family and it was a perfect vacation for us! The villa was nicely maintained and decorated, and the food at the restaurant offered a good selection. We loved the pho bar and bahn mi in the morning, and being able to order a full barista menu at breakfast. Some points of improvement: - training for staff. Many of them didn’t speak English or wasn’t eager to help. Jenny at the restaurant was great, and housekeeping was on time and helpful. - the beach was incredibly dirty. Filled with cigarette butts and general plastic littering. It was something that was overlooked and I didn’t feel comfortable going back with my children after the first day. - some healthier choices for the kids table at breakfast would be appreciated. It was all sugar: donuts, marshmallows, chocolate eggs and muffins with chocolate sauce and jam. - the kids club was pretty sad and even though we had two children with us (6 and 4 years old), we didn’t even visit it once. It just seemed like a completely overlooked part of the hotel, and didn’t even feel clean. The new playground was lovely (when the sun went down) and it’s obvious that they are trying to continuously improve the resort (with the building of the new kid-friendly pool, and the landscaping). However, we don’t think we will return unless there are more activities geared for children. We ended up staying mostly in our own pool and brought our own games to play in the villa.

AAnonymous UserThe location of the resort is the USP. They have a wonderful swimming pool, there is a decent indoor kids play area. The breakfast spread is good, overall dining experience in the two restaurants in this property was fantastic. The front desk handling of customers is something which is the laggard. They can do a lot better in terms of customer service and timeliness in terms of responding to the guests. The private beach is also good. They have a e rickshaw service to Grand world which is no where to be seen in case you are looking to board it to return to the hotel.

✈✈️keaidexiaolinlinerI was a bit hesitant before booking, seeing all the bad reviews online. But when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this sea-view villa was! It was very spacious for our group of two adults and three children. The hotel service was also great. Although there was no Chinese-speaking staff, the front desk's English accent wasn't too strong. The only drawback was the lack of cutlery in the kitchen. We bought some snacks back and had nothing to eat them with! There were quite a few Koreans and Westerners around. The iced coffee at breakfast was so good, I drank it for four days straight. It was truly excellent. We booked the Sheraton villa next door for the following four days. Honestly, even though both hotels are operated by the same owner, the Peach Hotel is noticeably much better in terms of service and facilities, and it's also more conveniently located. The breakfast there was very similar to Peach, with many of the same dishes. But there were too many Indians, if you know what I mean... I personally found the pool to be very clean. It was just a few steps from the villa to the beach. The best part was having trees by the pool, so it wasn't too sunny.

The location is absolutely amazing — directly connected to the beach with its own private beach area, which made everything feel exclusive and relaxing. There’s also a lovely café by the beach where we could just sit back, enjoy the view, and chill together. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of food options, so everyone in the family could find something they liked. Another big plus is how convenient the location is — it’s close to the bus station and within walking distance to the night food market, which made exploring and finding dinner so easy. Overall, it was a perfect place for a family get away, especially during the New Year holiday. We would definitely love to come back!

EellgyMy stay at Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc began as a 5‑star experience but unfortunately ended as a 3‑star due to one major incident. On the positive side, the resort offers excellent privacy and quiet, with a large balcony that was perfect for relaxation. The pool and beach were both beautiful and well‑maintained, and the signature chocolate afternoon tea was a delightful highlight. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, ensuring something for everyone. I also want to praise the team at Waverly Lounge, Thúy, Châu, Jasmine, Duy, Cessi, Ixis, and Thái Duy, for their outstanding service. They served us a delicious cheesecake, refreshing mango bingsu, and the signature chocolate afternoon tea, all presented with warmth and professionalism. Their attentiveness truly stood out and added a special touch to the stay. Unfortunately, my lunch at Aura Beach Club was ruined when a large group of local people from NIK entered, surrounded my table, and began drinking, smoking, playing, and taking photos and videos that included me. This seriously disrupted my peaceful meal, and the hotel staff did not intervene. If they knew such a group was coming, they should have informed me so I could choose to dine at The Islander instead. Other issues included room cleaning that needs improvement: trash wasn’t cleared and amenities were missing. The fridge took a long time to cool items, and its glass door with a blue light that couldn’t be turned off disturbed my sleep. Overall, while the resort has many strengths, the lack of management during my lunch and room maintenance issues prevented this from being the relaxing 5‑star stay it could have been.

MMIKHAIL UDALOVGood to all travelers! We stayed at this hotel as a family. We rented two rooms. The hotel is new. No more than two years after the opening. The description of the hotel and rooms fully corresponds to the website. I must say right away that the hotel can be rated five out of five, everything else is not the fault of the hotel and its service. This is a problem common to the entire island of Phu Quoc. The island is preparing to host a major economic summit in 2027. The whole island is one big construction and reconstruction project. It is not surprising that suddenly reconstruction and equipment for a new tourist facility (hotel, shop, restaurant, etc.) can begin in neighboring buildings, but we must pay tribute to the fact that the silence regime is still observed. This is Saturday and Sunday, a complete ban, repairs are possible only from 8:00 to 11:00 from 13:00 to 17:00. HL Melody in the neighboring block is completing reconstruction for its own apartments, that is, it is expanding its offer. It is said that everything will be finished by March 2026. But I repeat, it's everywhere on the island and on Khem in particular. If you think that hotels such as La Grotta, All Sand, Paralia, ANN and others of this class of hotels will be better, then you are mistaken. Construction and reconstruction are going on everywhere. Unlike these hotels, the location of HL is much better, far from the noise of the crowd of vacationers, the noise of passing cars and bikes. Khem Beach is a 10-minute slow walk away. The windows of rooms 101, 201, 301, and so on overlook the rainforest. At night, we turned off the air conditioner and slept with the windows open in complete silence. In the morning, we were only bothered by the roosters of the neighboring village and the forest birds. Tips for nearby restaurants - Chinese Fu Lu Kang (excellent work by a professional chef, instant service, full Chinese menu, except for Peking duck, we recommend absolutely everything). Grill Station is a decent menu when you want to switch from Vietnamese cuisine. Com Nha Vietnamese Cuisine is the latest restaurant on the way to the beach. MMIKHAIL UDALOVGood to all travelers! We stayed at this villa as a family. We liked the villa very much, we rate it 10/10. The house's design is thoughtful. The rooms are well thought out and well equipped. The bathrooms are very nice. The landscaping with tropical trees and flowers is great. Bougainvillea is great. The night lighting of the villa is very impressive. Every three days there is a complete cleaning and replacement of all towels. The linen is new, dry and spotlessly white. There is a washing machine. It helped a lot with rinsing beach clothes, T-shirts, and beach towels. Everything was dry in the morning. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, but I would advise the manager to change one of the pans, add 8 earthenware cups instead of plastic ones and 10 pieces of small teaspoons and add 8 large plates for the main course. In this case, there will be nothing to complain about. Our extended family was comfortable staying in this villa. Everything is completely consistent with the description. The location is in a quiet location in the complex of the same Sun Tropical Village villas. Security with a barrier around the perimeter, video cameras and more. Everything is great, but take into account one very important point. This is a problem common to the entire island of Phu Quoc. The island is preparing to host a major economic summit in 2027. The whole island is one big construction and reconstruction project. And not all the villas in this complex are ready for operation. At the moment, only 30% are involved. The rest are being put into operation very quickly. With us, one of the neighboring villas was fully equipped by about 40 workers, from concrete to complete furniture and landscaping in 12 days. The pace is impressive. So, if your villa is nearby, then you will have noise problems. I talked to one of these residents, who complained that he had a villa for rent for a month, and nearby repairs. Fortunately, during our stay with Evelyn, preparatory work was just beginning. Tips for nearby restaurants - Chinese Fu Lu Kang (excellent work by a professional chef, instant service, full Chinese menu, except for Peking duck, we recommend absolutely everything). Grill Station is a decent menu when you want to switch from Vietnamese cuisine. Com Nha Vietnamese Cuisine is the latest restaurant on the way to the beach. EErickTo summarize ”Chez Carole” failed to impress me. I stayed 6 days early November. As mentioned by other reviewers there is a lot of potential but... The beach and the tranquility are definitely a plus. The beach is nothing extraordinary but it is ideal if you just want to relax and enjoy ”farniente”. However there long chairs are far from comfortable. Plain hard and heavy wood (or good imitation) with nothing on top to soften the contact ;-) There are a couple of ”kayaks” and 2 ”surf” boards to use for free. What I missed most in the hotel was facing caring and welcoming employees. There was no hello, no good morning (except at the restaurant for breakfast and even there not always) or good day. Mostly no eye contact. With very very few exceptions the staff was distant, not welcoming and, well, not helping really. John the manager does his job professionally but I missed a deeper contact. Chinh in charge of the egg station (very good omelets) and pho was great and fun and helpful. So was Thienh (?) in the kitchen cooking wonderful plates with fish for me every night. A bright smile. A desire to please guests. Genuinely. I loved that ... and of course the food he prepared. Tâm in the restaurant was also very professional and helpful. These guys helped me feel better at the resort. Hospitality throughout Vietnam is absolutely great so my experience ”chez Carole” surprised me quite a bit. Overall the resort feels old and just maintained to survive. Dull in my opinion but, agreed, this is very personal. Also it is obviously in a remote place. It is some 2 or 3 Km walk/drive to the closest village therefore renting a motorbike or using Grab (or just asking the hotel for taxi) can be something to consider. Btw the closest Vinbus (free electric buses throughout the island, running every 15 minutes or so) stop is roughly 4 Km from the resort. I booked one of the cheapest rooms. Spacious with a desk, a good sized fridge, a locker and an efficient air conditioning system. Weird enough the fridge would only work with the key in the key holder. So taking the key with you would shut down power (electricity) for all devices, including the fridge. Not ideal to keep anything cool in the fridge when leaving for the day... The breakfast was nothing exceptional I found, especially for guests suffering from food ”incompatibilities” (in my case ”sugary” items because of diabetes due to surgery). For ”normal” people the spread was quite good with a large sweet section (breads, cakes, fruits). Unless you really want it quiet, secluded, next to a beach and with an affinity for more ”traditional” housing architecture resp. feeling with an interesting pricing, you may want to also consider other options.
