The hotel is located in Germering / Unterpfaffenhofen and is very cheap for visits to Munich and the surroundings (5-Seen-Land). It is newly renovated and very clean. The prices are very cheap - we paid with breakfast 125 EUR for 2 nights. Breakfast buffet offers something for everyone and is very extensive. Reception at the reception was friendly, check-in quickly and uncomplicated. The rooms are very small, however. The bathroom offers little deposit area, there is no box (this is not so tragic), but also for the bag offers little place. All in all the rooms are OK for the night. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are very quiet. There is also a GRATIS parking garage ! - that is now very rare - directly below the hotel. The infrastructure is very good - local and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity. The S-Bahn Germering is about 10 minutes. This is about 30 minutes to the center of Munich. One point of criticism: There is still a little delay in the point of sustainability. My company booked this for me during a business trip. They have free parking which was good as I rented a car from the airport. I arrived early and they told me that they can give me a room if I didn't mind the walk as it was a bit far from the elevator. Since I was already exhausted from the plane ride, I accepted so I can rest a bit before going to the office. The short lady who welcomed me was very nice, spoke good english and made the check in as smooth as possible. The room was functional but a bit run down, dirty and the design was a bit weird. Plus the carpets had stains on them as if there was someone who was stabbed in that room. Unfortunately, it was the only hotel near our office so I ignored these imperfections. After a day at work, I went up to the room and realized that the walk was indeed troublesome especially if you forgot something in the room and have to go back and forth, so I asked reception to move me to a room closer to the elevator, to which they promptly obliged to. They told me to leave my bags and they will move them for me. Very nice and unexpected for a 3 star property. They moved me to a much cleaner room, but you can still see wear and tear but I was there to sleep and work so I just settled with it. Due to the covid restrictions, they stopped the daily cleaning and you had to ask for it if you want your room cleaned. And since they didn't have the daily cleaning, the complimentary water wasn't refilled either. It wasn't a problem as you can easily ask from the reception to give you one. Their Breakfast buffet was good and the dining area was quite clean and well kept. The wifi was awful though. I got disconnected multiple times but the staff were nice enough to share another internet router I can connect too which wasn't too saturated. Overall, it was an ok stay, although I wouldn't really stay there if I was on vacation. But if you are on a work trip or just passing by the area, this hotel would suffice as it is functional and affordable.

This hostel is the place where you can stay on a short budget in Munich. Equipment is modern, but service is not high standard, e.g. you need to actively ask for bedsheets at the registration. Cleanliness is ok but not at top-notch level.

Amazing service and amenities. There are even activities for residents to join for free, eg Yoga class. The lobby is well decorated with a coffee shop/bar, and working space. There is also a rooftop bar. Best part of this place is there is a washing + drying machine in room, with free detergents given to us. 100% recommend.

The room is very narrow and was sold as double room. Due to fair, you could not book both days together on the website but had to do it separately. Unfortunately, it was blocked out of your room on the second day. We are just happy that it was not late at night where no one sat at the reception. That would have been yet. The room is so narrow that you couldn't pass each other on the second. If someone was in the bathroom or the door was standing up, you couldn't reach the door or the closet. You couldn't even hang out the usual paintings that you don't want to be disturbed. So is already an obstacle for couples. For two people there was a (!!!) bottle of water and also just one glass. The purpose behind it is not understandable to us. For a day as an interim stop is certainly sufficient, but not suitable for a longer holiday from our point of view. Rooms in themselves are clean and clean. Reception is over-required and no real help. When a rasier was forgotten at home, you referred to the net and another business. If it had actually been expected that a hotel would have provided a basic equipment for emergencies. We were at least used to this. Price/performance is certainly absolutely OK outside fair times. Parking is available in the garage and costs € 7.50, but we have parked in the side streets. There is something to run, but that didn't matter to us. We can't say anything about breakfast because we didn't take anything.

TL;TR: We had a terrible experience. AC doesn't work properly (the lowest temperature setting was 24 and the hotel couldn't do anything about that). Not worth the money. In case of any problems, do not count on reasonable compensation if they offer you compensation at all. Management is rude and receptionists will misinform you if that suits the hotel's interest. The hotel is far from anything, including reliable public transport. --------------------------------------- OPINION: 1. Our AC did not work (the lowest setting was 24C) - they offered to open a window... to the noisy highway next door; as compensation, we were offered 2 drinks! 2. Do not trust their Clean Promise policy! The cleaning Service does not do their job properly. We think some places are left uncleaned: there were breadcrumbs on the table left and the sink also had a few dirt marks left. 3. The place is far from anything, including reliable busses that occasionally do not arrive at all after 8 PM and you need to take a 20-25 mins walk from the train station. 4. First, you lie, and you put words into other's people mouths: - I never said you ”treated me with hostility”, I said you were rude, - I never said ”Cool the room down to 10 degrees”, we wanted the temperature below 24, you and your employee knew and saw the problem and couldn't do anything about it, - I never in our exchange mentioned booking the wrong hotel because that was not the problem - I have no idea how you made such an irrelevant connection and what is going on up there. Finally, you continue misleading people. Yes, you immediately offered ”2 drinks on the house” but it clearly(!) was not enough for the problems we met, but... If did not understand the difference between a refund and compensation. After huge problems, you offered us a room change... on the very last night (you expected us to move to another room with all our things after 8 PM when we returned to the hotel?). And, you never offered ”the total amount back” but just one night when we expected 2 nights for the inconvenience caused. Lisa, you clearly do not know how to speak and how to treat a client in a respectable way when a problem appears, so they recommend you later. We will never want to have anything to do with not just your hotel but the whole brand of Holiday Inn Express.
