"After checking in, I had some free time, so I decided to explore the hotel. Honestly, the hotel felt quite small. The only areas to really walk around were the lobby on the 43rd floor and the pool on the 6th floor; nothing else really stood out. The lobby displayed the bedding used in the rooms, and I noticed the prices were quite high. There weren't many items for sale either. The front desk service, however, was excellent. I had a few questions, and the staff patiently explained everything. The bathtub in the room was a bit small, only fitting one person at a time. On the bright side, the cleanliness was very good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience."

The hotel is difficult to book as it doesn't show up in an English language search. It must be searched in Chinese and even then building 1 or 2 isn't clear. I was here for a conference so this could been improved"

"The hotel boasts a lovely environment with numerous family-friendly activities. It's a shame we only stayed one night and couldn't fully experience them. Despite our short stay, our butler graciously upgraded us to an executive floor sea-view room, for which we were extremely grateful. A minor point of dissatisfaction was that the concierge didn't assist with our luggage upon arrival. As a family traveling with a considerable amount of baggage, we had to manage loading all the heavy cases onto trolleys ourselves. Afterward, our butler proactively reached out to me, acknowledging this oversight and assuring me that staff training would be strengthened. This proactive and responsible approach was much appreciated. Fortunately, we even caught sight of a rainbow during our stay. Driven by the excellent service of the butler, I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Haikou. Oh, and the welcome fruit was fantastic, especially the fresh coconuts!"

"I had a lovely stay even though it was one night, wish I had actually booked a few nights but had just booked it because it was near the airport and would be convenient. The porter was helpful and front desk checked me in in good time and let me know all the necessary things and places I can go to enjoy the stay. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room and it was very comfortable. The view was great and a surprise is at that it actually shares common facilities with ritz Carlton which is next door. You can enjoy the gardens, golfing area, pool and spa. Breakfast was good and the staff efficient in cleaning up. Across the hotel is the teddy bear museum and outlet stores. Thank you for the wonderful stay, I will definitely come again ✨"

"We are 3 generations that stayed in a 2 bedroom villa that encountered many problems during our 5 night stay. There were 2 days where we had issues with the hot water, 2 different days when we had electrical issues (lights would not turn on or off in the master bedroom), 1 day of toilet problems, and some kitchen cleanliness issues as well. Our butler Michelle worked hard to help us fix the issues as quick as possible, but it was quite frustrating to encounter and not what we expected of a Ritz Carlton at all. I felt bad for Michelle who had to deal with our issues even on her days off and when she wasn’t around, we had to speak with 3 different managers (Peter, Arthur and Felix) on 3 different days… just seems like there were no consistency in their service even though the staff were well intentioned. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel based on our stay."

Will definitely go again and relive the dream! What is particularly worth mentioning is that while we were in the hotel, we encountered Typhoon Capricorn, the largest typhoon in history. The hotel staff repeatedly warned us to pay attention to safety. The leader of the local tourism bureau (Deputy Director Cai Fuxiong) also mobilized me to move to the city center many times. And before the typhoon came, he drove my family of three to a hotel in the city center in the wind and rain. Special thanks! I think it was thanks to Deputy Director Cai, otherwise the consequences would be serious. I originally booked five nights, but only stayed for two. It was not enough!
