Couples getaway... A little outside of the main town but it is as about getting away, so it was all go

It is a Motel 6, granted, but if the sign says someone is available 24 hours/day in the lobby, and there is no one there all night long, that’s a disappointment. After getting in from a late evening attending a play, we realized that the bedding was incredibly thin (the bedspread was the same thickness as the top sheet, the blanket about twice as thick as the sheet). We tried calling the office a few times, and walked to the office twice, but, all to no avail. A handwritten note said someone would be back in 5-10 minutes, but that wasn’t the case. The heater in the room was also blowing cold air. After stripping the bed in the morning, we also noticed that the bed hadn’t been rotated on schedule (there are stickers on the mattress with instructions). There was also no shampoo or conditioner in the room. Pros: it was an inexpensive room. There was a mini fridge and a small microwave. The TV carried the Brentford-Chelsea match without any difficulty. Parking was ample.

This place is GREAT! The owners are wonderful, the rooms are super clean and comfortable. Each room has a different ocean theme which are decorated and fun. They were very accommodating and love dogs! The outside area has a great fit pit that we all enjoyed. Me and my party rented out 7 of the 9 available rooms here and it was awesome. One of the best trips out group of friends have had. The Bout 9 restaurant and lounge is right across the parking lot. Great food and service there. The Ft. Stevens disc golf course and state park are 5 minutes away. A corner market is right down the street. It’s really perfect. We will definitely be staying here again. We were pleasantly surprised at how welcoming and friendly the staff was. The breakfast was great, but not very many gluten free options. The hotel itself was nice and clean, but could use some updating in the rooms. Our room only had one queen bed. It looked like they had taken out a bed and left half the room empty. It had no closet nor a table to eat at.
