Nanxun Shangyuge Hotel (Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area)

The landscaping is quite nice, small but charming, with probably only seven or eight rooms in total. Since it's a traditional wooden structure, some issues might be unavoidable, like sound insulation or waterproofing, so it can't be compared to a standardized hotel. However, for a guesthouse, it's pretty good. We stayed during the May Day holiday, and the scenic area was packed with people.

Stepping into this courtyard, time takes on a tangible form. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled, ink-wash patterns on the white walls. Sitting quietly under the eaves, a cup of clear tea completely relaxes the mind. The room offers a view right outside the door; at night, you hear the bamboo rustling in the wind, and in the morning, the scent of fresh grass. The best part about this place is that it makes you forget you're traveling – it's as if you've returned to a long-unvisited, leisurely hometown, rediscovering the tranquility and ease that life should inherently have.

Friendly reminder: There's a small outdoor hot spring pool where you can soak, and large fish swim around – I missed it, unfortunately.
