I finally managed to get a few days off and decided to take my dog out for a change of scenery. After a lengthy online search, I realized that truly dog-friendly hotels are hard to come by, so I called them directly to inquire. The customer service representative I spoke with was incredibly patient. Upon arrival, I was checked in immediately. Even though it was just a one-day stay, my overall experience was excellent. First off, the pet-friendly policy is a huge plus! It made bringing our dog to Taihu Lake incredibly convenient. The hotel boasts an excellent location – it's quiet yet central. Moon Bay Rainbow Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf are just a few minutes' walk away, perfect for an evening stroll. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, many of which are pet-friendly. Plus, you can order takeout directly to your room. Taihu Ancient Town is also nearby, just a short drive away. Parking is super convenient too, with spots right in front of the hotel. This time, we only stayed for one night as a stopover on our drive back to Shanghai. It was a bit of a shame we didn't get to take a boat tour of Taihu Lake, but the overall stay was excellent. We'll definitely be back!
