Booking this guesthouse perfectly compensated for my poor decision to visit during the busiest National Day period.
The location is superb, right in the heart of the scenic area. Over two days, we spent half a day exploring the northern part at night and half a day in the south, with the rest of the time spent relaxing. Restaurants, beverage shops, and numerous small stores are right outside the door, and the sculling boat pier is just across the bridge. It's ideal for elderly people and children who need afternoon naps, as well as young people looking for a relaxed, laid-back trip.
Upon entering, I saw the huge koi in the courtyard and lively yellow-margined turtles, which made me think the host must be very attentive to detail. And indeed, after staying two nights, my suspicions were confirmed. The environment is elegant, the scenery is delightful, and opening the window reveals picturesque canals and homes. The room itself has complete modern amenities, clean and high-quality.
What's most commendable is that the owner's family, including the cleaning auntie, are all incredibly kind – a rare find in my many years of travel. They were friendly, generous, and thoughtful, offering touring advice and occasionally bringing us fruits and snacks.
Before coming, I read a comment saying the toiletries were imported and that elderly guests couldn't understand the labels. Now, tags have been added to label them. This attention to detail shows how truly dedicated they are to operating their business and listening to feedback.
Aside from the hot weather, it was an almost perfect Mid-Autumn Festival family outing. A fantastic guesthouse that I've already recommended to friends and family.
