Very disappointing. We stayed here for a quick fall break trip and booked this particular hotel because it had a pool and was a good location for the activities we wanted to do. I called ahead to confirm the pool was open before booking. The man on the phone said it was, so I booked! We weren’t expecting to walk into the Ritz Carlton by any means but it was apparent that there hasn’t been much updating done in a long time. Imagine my shock when the woman checking us in says “the pool ain’t working, so you know.” Then follows it up with the Wi-Fi is in and out. We aren’t visiting the area for the hotel alone but after we hyped our three young kids up about how we could take a swim in the evening only to have to tell them we couldn’t, we were disappointed. The room had a no smoking sign but it was apparent that people had been smoking either in the hallway or possibly in our room. The continental breakfast was ok but the man working the front desk the next day really needs to lighten up. He was not very friendly at all.
