Arrived to this hotel without having a confirmed reservation, however could see via website - rooms were available. Front desk person said they had availability. I provided required documents/credit card to secure a room. Was provided the keys to the room. My family & I offloaded our belongings and carted them to the room floor. Got to the room and the keys would not open the door. Tried several times. Green light on - the door would not open. Upon my return to the front desk - the Front Desk person was no longer available (gone). A sign was posted indicating, they would be away briefly but to call a specific telephone number. I did all that and noted the call came through to the hotel front desk where no one was available. We waited and attempted to call for over 30 minutes. It was getting late and we were tired. My family didn’t feel safe in this hotel. The back entry from parking was open (did not need a key to enter). It smelled of marijuanna. It was sketchy to say the least. There was a back alley with people with loud music that had easy access to hotel. Note: I didn’t receive a paper receipt or copy of my bill, however was charged immediately. We packed up and left because we felt it was not safe and really felt like we had been played. Next day the Best Western 1-800 # I called couldn’t assist me either as there was no record of my reservation in their systems….so they got my one night of money and we didn’t stay or even get into our room. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not a positive experience. Not ideal and very shady….it’s too bad really.
