Atour Hotel on Binjiang West Road, Tunxi Old Street, Huangshan City

Riverside room with an unobstructed view of the river from the window, close to Tunxi Old Street. A very satisfying stay.

First time in Huangshan, and sticking to my rule of 'when in doubt, book Atour,' I chose this one. It totally exceeded my expectations! The surroundings are great and convenient, the cleanliness was up to standard, and the service was spot on.

The view from the window is nice, and the facilities are relatively new and clean. What I'm dissatisfied with is the small room. It's over 30 degrees Celsius in Huangshan in May, and there's no air conditioning. Without air conditioning, they still provide a winter comforter. The window can only open a crack, and outside there are many noisy air conditioning units. This is my first time staying at an Atour, and this is what it's like. I'm quite disappointed.

Whenever I travel, I always choose Atour; I sleep so well there. They even upgraded my room for free! The location is fantastic, less than 200 meters from Tunxi Old Street. It's so convenient to go out and find food anytime we return at night. All the local specialties like smelly mandarin fish, Yipin hotpot, and Huangshan sesame cakes are readily available.

The hotel is conveniently located for visiting Tunxi Old Street and Liyang Old Street. However, being on a street, there's a small pavilion across the way where elderly people play chess during the day, which can be quite noisy. It's not an issue at night though. The soundproofing inside the hotel is just okay. When I first arrived, I tried turning on the AC, but the air blowing out made me feel like it was definitely time for a steam cleaning – it had an odor. Other than that, everything else was generally fine, and breakfast was pretty good.

This is a new hotel conveniently located near scenic spots, yet it doesn't feel chaotic. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the room was decent, but it would be even better if the cleanliness was improved a bit. The breakfast area was clean and quite good. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town, making it super convenient for dining. The room was clean and tidy, and both types of pillows provided were very comfortable. The bath towels were new and soft, and the toothbrush was much better than those at other hotels. The shower cubicle was spacious, and the large TV had clear picture quality with screen mirroring capabilities. Service was prompt and responsive.

No matter which city I visit, Atour is always the most comfortable hotel to stay in. This time, they even upgraded my room type, and the river view was stunning, especially at night 🌃. The location is also fantastic, right by Tunxi Old Street, yet it's surprisingly quiet. If I ever get the chance to visit Huangshan again, I'll definitely be staying here!
