Book a quadruple room for the New Year, there is a homestay with such a high cp value! The room is exactly the same as the photo! Parking is oversized! The environment is clean and the room is full! There are a lot of board games to borrow, and there are balls to play! Really have everything! There is also a water dispenser to use, the breakfast buffet is very careful, just the dishes I like to eat! Really great! I want to live again next time I come to Tailuge!

The public space and design style of Chengyi Cultural Tourism Hualien Mountain are eye-catching. They combine local characteristics and modernity, and are very atmospheric. However, the equipment and decoration of the room are slightly old, and some details need to be improved.
As for breakfast, although there are few choices of dishes, the overall taste is good and the price is relatively affordable, which is considered good value for money. The hotel's location is very convenient, not far from Hualien City and major attractions, which is very convenient for independent travelers.
The service staff are friendly and enthusiastic, making people feel sincerely entertained. Overall, this stay experience was pretty good. Travelers who are interested in design may consider staying here, but those who have higher requirements for a stay may need to adjust their expectations.

Room is quite a decent size for a family of 4 in a square shape configuration. Simple amenities are available in the room. And there is a hot water dispenser at the lobby and also a small space where they offer drinks and snacks if we are waiting for the laundry which is just directly opposite the hotel.
Most importantly is the car park, it is always packed and finding carpark space beside the hotel is very challenging. Depending on your luck, you may need to use the other carpark which requires a 5 mins walk from the hotel.

Next time I come, I will stay here again. It’s so comfortable and convenient for traveling. I feel so good just lying in the room all day. I don’t want to go anywhere. You have to drive a little further ahead to see the signboard. The environment is very good. The four-person room is also larger than expected.
There is also a balcony. It is not bad to see the big pool view downstairs, but the wild dog barking at the window factory at night is really all night.
The ducks are also loud in the morning. They should be raised in the rear factory. Although there are earplugs, they can still hear them.

The newly renovated lobby is stunning - we didn’t believe the lobby photos until we actually saw it in person. This resort is a real gem of Hualien and of ********* fengshui in general. The food quality was unexpectedly good, and I prefer the hotel’s twist on simple ********* favorites vs. their western style food. The only annoying thing is that you have to buy a swimming cap to use the pool, but the kids had a blast at the pool and taking in views from the hot tub.

But it doesn’t make you feel noisy and crowded, but it’s unexpectedly peaceful.
Although the space in the camper is limited, it is well-equipped and soundproofed, and the sound of wind and waves can be isolated.
There are tables and chairs outside the camper, creating the feeling of a small courtyard. It is very relaxing and comfortable to chat, eat and drink here, and there is an incomparable sea view. Even if you don't go anywhere, it is worth spending the whole day.

AAnonymous UserFabulous stay. Love the quiet, serene ambience although there are sounds of dogs and animals which is common in nature. The host, Mr Zhang is so warm and helpful that we felt treated like old friends coming for a visit. There is a dog and many cats in the house but non threatening. They make themselves scarce, somehow if guests are afraid of them.
As the BnB is up on the mountain, it’s easier to get around if there a car. The host goes out of his way to help and provide advice on where to go and how to get there. Perfect host!
The only room with twin beds is the family room for four. The other room is spacious to with king or queen beds.
A good place for a retreat.

Aadams yinThis is my fourth time staying here, but the only drawback is that I didn’t notice that the room type I booked was a delicacy room (that is, the room type with the smallest space). I didn’t notice it before (because the non-holiday prices were almost the same). After checking in, I discovered that If you book a luxury room directly from the hotel, the price is hundreds of yuan cheaper than on the website. I immediately contacted customer service, and of course the customer service also provided compensation measures.
I hope that subsequent websites can more carefully check the room types provided by the hotel to avoid misunderstandings by users and a bad impression.

GGuest UserThe location is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to walk to Xinxin Noodle House and 5 minutes to Dongdaemun Night Market. There is no breakfast attached to the B&B, but there are many delicious restaurants nearby.
If you arrive early in the afternoon, you can park in the parking lot of Dongdaemun Night Market (free)
The dog in the B&B is very cute and coquettish. I stayed for another 2 nights. The boss reminded me that there is a washing machine upstairs that you can use for free. It dried in the sun overnight. It is a different washing machine than the one used to clean the bed sheets in the room. This is my second time here. I will consider this place next time!

Room: The room space may be small if you have many luggages, but there's no complaining at this price range because it's a steal! You can save some space if you bring your luggage to your bedside. An electricity outlet can be found on every bed, which is unquestionably very convenient. Cups, teabags, hairdryer, and slippers are provided.
Bathroom: The bathroom is clean, and it is a private bathroom inside the room (not shared bathroom outside the room!). Towels, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided as well.
Public area: There is a public area (like a kitchen) and an outdoor sitting area on the ground floor where you can make your own coffee or milk tea (which are provided there). Water dispenser can also be found there. There's a friendly (wild) cat too!
Service: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Luggage storage: If you're looking to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out, your luggage will just be stored on the corridor beside the counter with no safety other than ”name labels”.
Safety: Password will be required for entry into the inn after certain time at night.
Location: The inn is located close to the bus station, but some walking may be needed (which won't take long unless you carry big luggages). Convenience stores and some restaurants can be found within walking distance from the inn.

GGuest UserGreat hotel. Stayed in the twin room with ocean views and balcony. The room is very clean, comfortable and quiet. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi on the third floor is a treat. A swimming cap is compulsory. They sell it at the hotel for $120 TWD. The hotel is about 2km from the city centre. They provide a complimentary shuttle service on the hour from morning to 5pm. Just ask the concierge. It was a very pleasant stay.

TTobias TDuring my recent trip to Hualien, I had the unique opportunity to stay at the Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel, and it truly exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, the prison theme instantly caught my attention. The rooms were designed to resemble prison cells, which added an intriguing and immersive element to my stay.
One thing that stood out to me was the absence of a traditional reception desk. Instead, to gain entry, all guests need to do is call the contact number provided, which adds a touch of mystery to the experience. The lady working there was exceptionally helpful and patient, even taking the time to explain how to use the facilities in Chinese. Her assistance made my stay all the more enjoyable.
As a solo traveler, I couldn't help but appreciate the eerie vibes that the place exudes, especially since I'm a fan of horror. Every night, I found myself immersed in an atmosphere that perfectly catered to my taste. It's not often that you come across a hostel that provides such a unique and thrilling ambiance.
Cleanliness is always a priority for me, and I was pleased to find that Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel did not disappoint in this aspect. The rooms were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. @@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
