Hualien Wow Hostel Reviews

Nice hostel to explore Hualien. It's very close to the train station, but a bit of a walk through the city to get to the night market and coast. Spacious and clean rooms. Really nice main area with lots of seating, free coffee/tea all day, and a simple breakfast of toast with jams and slices of ham/cheese.

The hostel is opposite Hualien station and bus terminal and super convenient. The room is facing the mountain and the common area is pleasant. Free breakfast is available on the second floor. The laundry service can be found on the top floor.

The room has a private bathroom, which is large and clean. The room itself is also a good size. The only issue is that when the curtain is drawn, the air conditioning doesn't reach the room, so it feels quite hot. The breakfast was decent though.

This hostel is super easy to get to and very centrally located. The beds were really comfortable too. Even though our room had its own bathroom, there was also another shared bathroom available for everyone down the hall. The locker was big enough for my entire backpack. There was also a water dispenser on every floor. The interior design was lovely, and I particularly liked the paintings on each floor. There was also a kitchen available if you wanted to prepare something, but breakfast was provided anyway.

Very convenient right opposite train station... Bicycle rental for a very affordable price...

The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk directly across from the station. There are also plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so you have lots of dining options. The hostel lobby is really well-decorated, and there's free coffee and milk tea available, which was perfect for relaxing while waiting to check-in before 3 PM. The room was a four-person dorm with a private bathroom, and my stay was very pleasant. They offer free breakfast, but the selection is a bit limited – mainly just bread with different jams and ham. I had a wonderful time in Hualien! I hope to come back here again someday.

This hostel is good quality with excellent service. It's really close to the train and bus stations. It's rare to find a hostel with double beds! Plus, they offer complimentary coffee, milk tea, and green tea – a great selection!

This is the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. The only good thing about it is the location. The upper bunk creaked loudly with every movement, and the hairdryer was ancient, requiring constant button pressing while barely producing any air.

Right opposite Hualien Station, this is an incredibly convenient location! It’s perfect whether you’re traveling solo or with a few friends. The prices are reasonable, the facilities are complete, and a simple breakfast is even included. The common area is spacious, making it very convenient for a group of friends to chat and eat together in the lounge. We even met the owner when we were checking out, and they were so nice, even helping us take a group photo. I'm really grateful for the owner's dedication over so many years. With tourism in Hualien declining recently, it's truly commendable that they've managed to persevere and continue providing such a great place for travelers to rest. Thank you so much! 🙏

This hotel is really stylish, very affordable, and in a great location. Its unique green architecture is visible right as you exit the train station. It's also very clean and has ample storage space. Excellent!

best hostel in hualien. great comfy beds clean toilet and room. very social hostel where i made many friends as the common lounge area is nice and easy to socialise. convenient stores are really close and the train station is literally at the opposite side of the building and the entire building has different themes in every floor which i really liked. so highly recommended

Extremely close to Hualien railway and bus stations where you can take the bus to Taroko for hiking. Just need less than 3 mins walk. The hostel provides simple breakfast with instant coffee and tea at 8am and given the convenience of guests bath and toilet and hair dryer both inside and outside the bunks. Bed is comfortable with shade for privacy and locker to secure the valuables. It is the most affordable hostel in Taiwan that I stayed so far and the place is clean and comfortable

The location is absolutely ideal, right opposite Hualien Station. It's super convenient with supermarkets and great food options nearby. Having the shower in the room is a big plus. The only minor thing is that the dust on the headboard could use a bit more attention and cleaning.

Location is great. About 4 Mins walk from train station. 2 Mins walk from bus station. Nearby 7-11 stores and many stores. Friendly staffs. Simple breakfast served but start from 8am only. Appreciated if they could serve the breakfast at 7am so as easy for travellers to have it before start of the day. Laundry and dryer machines are avaliable at a reasonable price. Bed is clean. Bathroom is clean too. Highly recommended. I have just book a double room for my next trip in May 2026.
