Lakeshore Hotel Hualien Reviews

The room doesn't come with bottled water, but there's a water dispenser available. The bed was really comfortable, and the view was great. I booked a sea-view room, so I could see the ocean. It was so relaxing and comfortable to soak in the tub while looking out at the sea. It was a perfect time to unwind.

The location is good, and the hotel staff will help you hail a taxi. However, the floor was stained, and the hotel doesn't provide disposable amenities like toothbrushes or bottled water. You have to get your own water. The bed was too soft, and the tissues were so thin that they'd stick to your hands when you used them. Also, they don't bring food deliveries to your room; you have to pick them up in the lobby.

Pretty good for places like hualien. Location wise a bit off and u need to rely on taxi to go out. But it's quiet and close to sea. Room is spacious and clean.

The room and bathroom were both very clean, and the staff proactively informed us about special offers! Unfortunately, the breakfast area's flow was a bit poor, with many people serving themselves without masks, spitting everywhere. The hygiene was a bit concerning, even though the breakfast tasted good.

What they do well: 1. The hotel service is excellent; there's an usher as soon as you enter the lobby. 2. The public areas are clean and well-maintained. Areas for improvement: 1. Soundproofing: I could hear snoring from the adjacent room. 2. Tip prompt card on the bedside table: The staff didn't do anything beyond their standard duties, so why should I be prompted to tip proactively? 3. The sauna facilities are dirty and old. The shower area, with six spots, felt full with just three people.

Positives: - like all lakeshore hotels in Taiwan, fantastic breakfast spread, especially incorporating local hualien food like gongzheng baos etc… - sauna with a sea view.. what else to ask for - children playroom - comfy rooms and excellent service all round by all staff - bath tub near the window where you can soak and see the sea - coin operated laundry room with washers and dryers (affordable plus only two each.. so may have to wait) - small snacks and beverages provided for guests daily on the ground floor Negatives: - only really gripes is the location.. about 2 km away from the city centre so not much to do in the neighbourhood - sea view room is actually the view of the port and a distance away… technically hotel is not wrong.. but should lower your own expectations

Spacious and clean. Staff helpful and provide free shutter services to and fro Hualien station. Only exception it don't provide free toothbrush, paste and shaver. On the whole pleasant staying.

This is a nice hotel. It is clean and welcoming.  I did not try the food there. The seaview is not really worth as it is too far from the sea, but the rooms are a good size. The staff were friendly. Just make sure you message the staff 24 hours in advance to book a free transfer. They would not provide a same day service. Overall, a good hotel. About 3km from downtown. I did not mind walking, but taxis are cheap.

Except for last year, I'm a loyal returning guest to Lakeshore Hotel Hualien, staying here every year. I have a lot of sentiment attached to Lakeshore, and I truly hope everything at the hotel continues to develop positively. Therefore, I'd like to share my honest thoughts and offer some suggestions. Pros: - The bed was incredibly comfortable. - The housekeeping staff were very responsible and diligent. - The front desk ladies provided excellent service. - They were kind enough to let us park our scooter in the basement, which was a huge plus given the rainy weather during our stay. Areas for improvement: - The water pressure in the showerhead was too low. - The indoor lighting was insufficient; it wasn't bright enough. - The indoor slippers provided were uncomfortable, making me want to wear my own slippers inside. This would, in turn, make it difficult to keep the indoor floors clean.

Super clean big spacious room with separate bathroom bathup. Friendly staff excellent service. Nice ping pong and playstation room.

Will definitely come back this comfortable hotel
