Off-street parking, clean bathrooms, comfy bed w/ clean sheets, cheerful paint and decor, good space heater, host very friendly and welcoming, nice indoor and outdoor common areas (though chairs/couches looks like they could use a cleaning). Carpet and baseboards in room rather dirty as well. Could just be consequence of weather/season/COVID, but overall the place felt a bit tired and bleak. Several other people staying here, but older and not especially social - almost feels like they live here and I'm intruding (which, fair enough - times have been hard for the tourism industry and locals alike - just FYI depending on your vibe preferences).

I had a great stay at Piwaka ( actually, 2 different stays). Lodge is great located, in the middle of Picton with everything handy. It has 2 kitchens, so plenty of space for your cookings. Breakfast is included, rooms are simple but comfortable and clean ( loved that the dorm rooms have a basin, really handy). And Nicci the owner is just amazing, helped me with tips and sorting my transfer to Queen Charlotte Track. Would definitely go back! Luciana

I booked for 1 night and ended up staying 3 night. Top notch accommodation in one of their queen ensuite rooms - comfy bed with beautiful linen, an ever changing view of the harbour from my deck and everything was spotlessly clean. Hosts Barry and Nikki were very knowledgeable about Picton, transport and events; and very friendly too. Clean shared kitchen with huge fridges to store food. Free delicious home-made scones with butter and jam to boot. I liked the cats and a small dog that hung around - it all made Tombstone a very homely stay.

Stayed 3 nights while exploring the area. Location is really good - about 10 min walk to shops, restaurants, the ferry terminal and visor centre. n it literally across the street from a decent supermarket. On the negative side it is also very close to the railway line - used by slow but heavy freight trains. But they did not disturb us. The room was quite large & comfortable, with a small kitchen area and a decent bathroom. It even had a small balcony, overlooking the street. We arrived by bus, but there was plenty of room for parking.
ZZenmeneniThe space is very large and the environment is good. Just in the town. The front desk was friendly, because it rained on the day we went, and we also provided free hot milk to drive the cold. Recommended stay~
GGuest UserWe were very pleased with our stay at this motel, it was clean, warm and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, it was a pleasure to stay with them and we will definitely be booking back in on our return to Picton.
Thankyou very much

小小QTwo days in Sokcho, living in Ramada feels very convenient. There is a sashimi street at the door. The fish in the market is eaten immediately. It is very enjoyable to eat sashimi. The hotel is by the sea and the scenery is very good. You can walk to the lighthouse when you come out downstairs. It is very close to the filming location of ”Boyfriend”, where the male protagonist sits and reads under the lighthouse. Shocho is a good place. Seafood is much cheaper in Seoul. The scenery is also very good. Next time you come to Sokcho, you will choose Ramada.
RRobert DWhat a surprise, don't be fooled by the age of this motel, built in the 1960s and still going strong. For comfort, cleanliness and a very warm welcome from the owners. We were pleasantly surprised. This is a full equipt motel with all cooking appliances and this came in very handy when we have gifted a Cray Fish from one of the locals. Comfort is the rule here with great bathroom and toilet facilities in the room
