YHA Bradbury Jockey Club Tai Mei Tuk Youth Hostel (Tai Po)

I was so lucky to find this place, the location is superb. So many opportunities for outdoor activities within a few meters; cycling, hiking, swimming, and watersports. There is a quiet relaxed atmosphere but also plenty of shops, and international cuisine. Grey at Reception was friendly and helpful and had a lot of knowledge of the local area. It was great value for money. I will be back to stay again soon.

I stayed on the 17 flr of the hotel from 21 - 23 Dec. View from room window was great. Room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Bed was too comfortable and caused us to miss the morning alarm. Frontdesk and room service staff were very helpful. When I feedback that the room was too cold, they offered a heater and it was delivered to my room shortly after. I look forward to staying at the hotel again.

I really liked the room and the breakfast, but the bathtub was a bit dirty unfortunately (I saw some dust when I turned on the tap). I wish there were more food choices for the breakfast too, like more cold cuts (they only had turkey ham and salami) and plain yogurt instead of packaged frozen yogurt. I prefer Hyatt centric’s buffet, but I guess for the price it’s not too bad. Also the desk light in my room wasn’t working for some reason. However I do recognise that demand to stay here is really high this season (even the lifts were full), so I understand if not everything is perfect.

Stayed at one of the twin apartment rooms and the room is incredibly spacious! The room includes a personal washer+dryer inside the room, so doing laundry is incredibly easy. The staff speak fluent English and are easy to approach for any and all questions. The hotel is further in Kowloon side of Hong Kong, but close to MTR Shek Mun station. They also offer complimentary shuttle bus service to multiple places in Hong Kong. I recommend eating the breakfast buffet, the selection is plentiful. I would definitely come stay again!

Wanted to stay at Sai Kung, only 2 accommodations there. Shifted to Sha Tin, more accommodations, eating and shopping. Took bus onto Sai Kung for 3 days to do the Maclehose Trail and visited Pin Chau UNESCO site. See Hiking Elite Group in Facebook! 😊

I highly recommend this Hotel. The location is excellent. 5 minutes to the subway, plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and convenience stores right downstairs. It's near the river which has an awesome bike and running path on both sides. Excellent for runners or if you just want to go for a walk. The gym is also one of the best I've seen in a hotel. The concierge, Tommy, went out of his way to help me with some translation issues with my banking. I was upgraded to a river view room for free and the view, for Hong Kong, was excellent. Will definitely stay here again next time.
