Hankow Guesthouse Reviews

This was a great guesthouse. It's a small space in a wonderful location near the tsim sha tsui metro stop. It's a little hard to find -- there's a staircase to access the building (Hankow is on the second floor) or an elevator. The staircase is between the Rolex and Tudor stores. See my photo for reference. The guesthouse has a shared fridge and drinking water (both hot and cold). Hot water available for showers. Clean space. There is some smoking that happens in the building that you can smell in the hallway, but the owner has an air circulator to filter out the smell. Could not smell smoke in the rooms. I'd gladly stay again!

Location very strategic, u can easy to reach 海港城 by walk distance. And the entrance to the hotel is close with bus stop A21 to airport. Compare with others hotel room, the room is bigger. And the great thing is they do provide the luggage storage after check out.

I had a good experience staying at Hankow. I knew from the beginning that the room would be very small but it was actually very clean and well-maintained so I was quite satisfied. The location of the hotel is only 100m from MTR Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel owner is very friendly, kind and enthusiastic. The only downside is that the room can be quite noisy at night when the nearby rooms talk or flush the toilet. You can follow my pictures to find the entrance to the hotel more easily.

Easy access to Tsim Sar Tsui MTR station (5-7 mins walk). Enter TST Mansion to reach Hankow Guest house . It is well located near bustling streets of local shops and eateries. Safe and Comfortable stay. Recommended!

Convenient location, close to everything, yet quiet. The stay was comfortable, the bed was comfy. If you're looking for a budget option, this is a good choice.

The room was ok, can't really ask for more in this price range with such a good location in Hong Kong. Danny is a great host, reactive and helpful.

My family and I love this hotel so much. The uncle who is the owner of the hotel he is very nice and polite. I have a problem with the toilet in the room when I informed him he come to fix it immediately it’s make my family feel impressed. Next time if I come to Hong Kong I will select this hotel again.

I had a pleasant 26-hour stay here during my layover in Hong Kong. The room was very clean, including the bed linens and toilet, which had all the basic amenities I needed. The location is super strategic — just a short walk from the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station, with a souvenir shop right below and a halal bakery nearby serving delicious pastries. It’s a comfortable, convenient, and value-for-money place for travellers looking for a clean and practical stay in the city. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend this honestly. The positives: - location is great. Close to everything, station right next to building. -easy enough to find. I had no issues. - the host is very nice and let me change rooms when i had issues with the first one. - the sheets and towels were clean, as were floors and bathroom. The negatives: - the first room I was assigned to had a lot of mold on the ceiling and smelled very damp. The host was nice and let me change rooms. Still some mold, but much better. - I found cockroaches, both dead and alive. I had to hunt two as they were camping on my bed. - Everything is a bit dated and pasted over with weird wallpaper. Not really bad, but not a professional job either. - the price. I paid 60€ a night for a private room. I know that Hong Kong is very expensive, but I travel a lot and the value for money just does not match. This accommodation would be ok for 20€ a night. But not 60. In Germany, I could find a very simple but more decent room for that kind of money. I should have paid more and gotten a better space for that. It was ok for two nights, but I would not recommend to stay here. I don’t get where the amazing ratings come from. Mold is a serious health hazard. This is why I rate one star on cleanliness.

This was my 3 Hostel / Hotel in Hong Kong and absolutely the best for this price. Huge bed, room with Space and a very Kind owner. I will book only this Hotel in futur.

The cleanliness was excellent. The only minor drawback was the slightly small room, but otherwise, everything else was perfect, and the service was superb. Just a heads-up: it's located by the A/B elevators in Huayuan Building, and can be quite difficult to find, so make sure to look carefully.

The owner is really nice and welcoming. I'd definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.

Amazing location, right next to Tsim Sha Tsui subway. Room was larger than most HK hostels. We were 3 people and were able to open our respective luggage. There was no one at the front desk as it is a guesthouse, but communication was fairly clear. Would have been nice if there was a photo of the main street entrance sent to us, as we spent a while searching for it. Amenities were all there, towels, hair dryer, shampoo etc. Only thing that would have been nice to have was hand soap.

The room is clean and very comfortable. It is near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station so going around the by public transpo is convenient and efficient. The owner is also kind and considerate. We are looking forward for our next stay here.
