This is an older, well-established star-rated hotel in Hong Kong. The service and location are excellent, and the sea view from the room is truly stunning. It'll definitely be my top choice for future business trips. Highly recommended, based on my personal experience.

I booked a full sea view room, and it was quite spacious at 35 square meters. It was also very clean, and the service was excellent. The night view was particularly good. I was studying there, so I walked to CUHK and even got a long-term rental, which made it a really great experience overall.

This hotel is located right by University Station and is a standard five-star establishment. We stayed in an executive suite, and while the decor showed its age, it was well-maintained. The bedding was clean, and the room service was excellent. The buffet on the first floor was also good. We originally stayed for two nights and then extended for an additional day. The Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor was also great, with authentic flavors and warm service, though it was a bit pricey! Our child is doing postgraduate studies at CUHK, and we had hoped to arrange a long-term stay, but the price was still too high, and we couldn't reach an agreement. However, we'll definitely stay here again in the future! The overall service quality was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were very fast! Thanks for the late check-out and the complimentary buffet! Hotel prices in Hong Kong tend to be on the higher side, so I hope your prices can become more affordable in the future!

This room was quite spacious for Hong Kong, where space is at a premium. They even provided a free extra fold-out bed, which my 13-year-old (but 170cm tall) daughter found very comfortable. The location is excellent, right next to the CUHK MTR station. We could also eat at the university's canteen, and the breakfast spread was very generous.

The room size is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards. The University Station MTR is right outside, which is very convenient. The service, however, was only average. What was most incomprehensible was being asked for a HKD 6000 deposit during check-in, which I paid via Alipay. I still haven't received it back since checking out. I called the hotel afterwards and they said it takes 3 weeks for Alipay/WeChat deposits to be refunded. What kind of policy is that? Why didn't they tell me earlier? It's not like I don't have a credit card. This seriously soured my otherwise decent impression of the hotel.

The hotel service was excellent! We checked in during the May Day holiday and even got a room upgrade. The front desk staff was very patient and told us where to find good food nearby. The hotel is very close to the subway, which makes getting around super convenient. I also really appreciated the water dispenser providing water at different temperatures – that's a great touch! And even though it's in Hong Kong, this hotel is HUGE! Although it's located in Sha Tin, getting to the city center by subway is really quick, so the value for money is just incredible! Plus, the hotel provides various little cards, for example, a card on the fridge clearly stating that the mini-bar is chargeable, and a card on the table apologizing for potential noise due to ongoing renovations. They are so thoughtful!

Excellent! It's very clean, and I love this hotel. I stay here every time I visit Hong Kong. I hope the hotel continues to improve and thrive. The only downside is that the buffet is a bit expensive.

Hygiene: Extremely dirty. The water dispenser counter had a lot of grime, and the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.
Toiletries: The shampoo made my scalp itch, which never happens. I've never experienced an itchy scalp before, but this hotel's shampoo did it.
Facilities: The air conditioning couldn't provide heat. With temperatures at 20 degrees Celsius and humid, if you didn't bring a jacket, there was nowhere to escape the cold in the room. I had to burrow under the covers.
Service: I asked the front desk for two sanitary pads, and at 4 yuan each, they weren't cheap. But the quality was terrible – an unknown brand, and the length and thickness were comparable to a pantyliner. In comfortable hotels on the mainland, these emergency items are usually free. This is a 5-star hotel, so I guess charging is one thing, but the quality was such a rip-off. Honestly, I'm speechless. Is a 15cm length really a sanitary pad and not a pantyliner???
Summary: The current state of this hotel is nowhere near 5-star. The check-in experience was no different from a small guesthouse.

Booked the stays via trip, initially booked for 2 nights but because of early arrival so decided to book an extra day via another app which I could make use of the cash rewards that was about to expired.
The hotel stay is great and was given a beautiful room facing the Tolo Harbour and Ma On Shan, a quiet room and very spacious, I love the idea of a hot water machine in the room, which i think I will get one myself for home use 😃. Facilities are great large gym and pool for swimming lap. The only downside is the long commute by HK standard, although close the MTR station, heading to the city and CBD area still takes about 30 minutes. But overall I will stay at this hotel again if I want a relax weekend in HK.

I really enjoyed my time at the Hyatt Regency in Sha tin. The staff were really kind. The pool was lovely. The room was beautiful and there are great views.
I look forward to staying here again.
Note that it is quite far from Central and the airport. That was fine by me as I wanted a quieter location, but this may be worth considering for some people.

Great location, very close to Sha Tin Racecourse. The room layout is well-designed, comfortable, and spacious, with excellent views from the window. Breakfast is plentiful, and the noodles are delicious. The staff are generally professional and efficient, and the front desk helped us with an upgrade. Definitely worth choosing again!

The best service I've ever experienced. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and the front desk staff speaks better English than me to boot.
Rooms are great and come furnished with everything you need and more. The outlets are, I believe, British standards, but the room included adapters for USB charging and American standard. Our room had a pretty swank view that captured mountain, ocean, and cityscape in one frame
Decent gym with maybe 10 treadmills, a small area for dumbbells, and enough machines to hit every major muscle group. Overall around the same caliber as a Planet Fitness.

Right next to the Chinese University of Hong Kong, so you can easily explore the campus. It's also very convenient to get to Tsz Shan Monastery. I booked a standard room, but the hotel upgraded me to a river view room on a higher floor, which was a fantastic experience.

This was my second stay here. This time, as we had more people, we weren't upgraded. We also had to wait about two and a half hours, from 11:30 AM when we started check-in procedures until 2 PM when we finally got our room key. The room has been renovated for a while, but it's still well-maintained. I think there are soundproof windows because it was very quiet. Overall, it was good value for money.
