I have been on safaris quite a bit but The Sausage Tree offers the whole package! The tents offered all you need and the bonus is to have great views at a waterhole right at the terrace of your tent. Inside the tent you find all you need. Fresh drinking water offered every day, a comfortable spacious bed, air conditioning and an outside shower to start a proper day in the bush. The staff was of another level! You truly experience their passion in what they do and the friendliness that comes with it. Well done to James & Sonia to make them feel at home and operate in this special manner. I think joining your guests for breakfast every day is a very personal touch, thank you James. Also I like to thank you Neli, Karinne and all the other ladies that put in the efforts to keep the tents so nice and clean and how you continuously put in all your efforts to keep the guests happy. You girls are doing a wonderful job. The food was outstanding and well cooked with care by a chef. From breakfast to dinner and all the in between snacks were freshly prepared and they make sure you won't be hungry. Thank you Pitzo. The game drives were like I never have experienced before. On top of that the rangers go out of their way to make sure you get what you wish for where possible...they never give up and continue finding the most incredible sights for you. Thank you Themba, Polite and Life for making my adventure so special. It was an experience that I will always remember and I hopefully will be back one day!

Wonderful place to relax and experience what Africa has to offer. They made you feel like a part of the family which is why when I was there for the first time, everyone else staying had been there previously. No better testimony than the repeat customers.

Excellent place to go safari, sad we had to leave. Brill animal sightings with fabulous driver and tracker, who were magic at finding things to see. Food was well balanced and Delish 🤤 and took into account dietary preferences. Also there’s a gin menu and the possibility of a massage…what’s not to love?

2night/3day stay was the holiday I will treasure forever. Such friendly staff, guides found heaps of animals, food was gourmet, their waterhole attracts animals, whilst sipping a cocktail by the pool on the decking elephants walk by. WOW

This small, intimate (max 10 guests) lodge was the perfect place for my introduction to the African bush. The warm demeanor of the staff and attention to detail made me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. The food was abundant and delicious. The tents were very comfortable. The guides were excellent. They went way out of their way to ensure we saw many animals. Because the lodge is located on a private reserve, we were able to ride around in an open vehicle, seeing the animals up close. The majesty and sheer aliveness of these large animals awakened senses within me that had been dulled by living in civilization all my life. It was a life changing experience. I cannot recommend this safari camp highly enough.

Highly recommend. Not a single complaint. The staff, tracker, and guides were super super friendly. The tracker and guide were so intelligent. Could spot the tiniest animals from far away. They knew so much about every animal we saw or had a question on. Polite, Timba, and Jimmy I feel like were the best guides/drivers out of all the other lodge guides. They drove us right in front of the animals and got us the best angles. They made sure they took care of us hahah. I also feel like they found a lot of animals first before the other lodges. They feed you all the time so you won’t ever go hungry and the food was delicious. Such a great feeling and vibe at this place.

I would go back in a heart beat. The guides and safaris were fantastic. The food was great, people so welcoming and warm. The bush experience surpassed my expectations. The rooms well appointed and comfortable. The noises and scenery were so calming. We were travelling around for over a month and this remains a highlight and something that will stay with us forever.

We have just returned back to Europe from our holiday around SA. The first two nights were spent at Sausage Tree Safari Camp, which was recommended to us by Wildtracker Safaris. Our luxury tent was located right next to a watering hole and what an experience it was to have an outdoor shower, with an elephant drinking only a few metres away! The sounds of the wild at night were incredible. The game drives with Jimmy and Polite were interesting and informative, but also fun. We saw many elephants, buffalo, rhino, some amazing lions with cubs, plus many other species. The sunset on the late afternoon drive was stunning. The camp was lovely, with a much used (by us) swimming pool and a relaxing bar and breakfast deck area. Dinner was served in the boma, aound the open fire. We also met the friendly owners, James and Sonia, over breakfast one morning! The only disappointment was that we had to leave!
