Scottish Inns & Suites Hitchcock/Santa Fe

There was a gas station right next door. Staff was ok ladies cleaning the room did their best with what they had. Please tip the cleaning crew. We tip our lady several times and she was so grateful. The property is not being maintained. All towels need to be replaced. Fire alarm was hanging out of the ceiling. The shower mat need to be thrown out and the shower pressure was low. The pillows were flat also but the bed was comfortable. The stove in the room didn't work, and there were no utensils. The ac worked well. The walls are thin. We had neighbors who weren't thoughtful and mindful of those around them. Their TV were on loud into hours in the morning, and conversations were loud also. When I checked in I was told they they had breakfast. I asked where and she said right in the hotel lobby which was smaller than the size of the room we stayed in. We never went for breakfast so I cannot comment on it. I can't forget the hotel is near a train line. The train goes by several times a night. Would I recommend this hotel no. Spend the extra and stay in a more established hotel chain. There are several Inns in the area that I'll stay clear of all of them. I booked late, and my choices were limited.

Clan room. Ac works perfect. Plenty of room. Breakfast could have been better- more grab and go. Perfect distance to seawall… not too far.

I hate to leave reviews like this especially since the people were so nice, but this place was a complete disaster. The place appears quite sketchy at first glance. The rooms were dirty and had a very unpleasant smell to them. Our sheets even had a cigarette hole burned into them! The shower had a mat that covered up a hole in the floor and the bathroom was filthy. The walls were crazy thin and you could hear everything. The road noise kept us up all night along with the many conversations and noises that we heard. We stayed here to save a buck before our cruise but there was nothing pleasant about our stay and was the worst hotel stay my wife and I have ever experienced. The workers were very nice and tried their best to fix things but you couldn't pay me to stay here again or recommend this place to anyone I care about. We will go back to staying in Texas City before our cruises.

Floors were sticky, fire alarm hanging down from the ceiling, shower curtain was half torn off the rod, electrical switch cover missing in the kitchen area. Train comes by every few hours blasting horn. Pillows so thin you have to double them over. Horrible.

This was probably one of the cleanest, best maintained motels I've been to. The bed was very very comfortable and the staff was nice. Theres a gas station right next to it, which has islts perks and drawbacks. And there are train tracks nearby, so we woke three times to hear a t4ain blow their horn through the intersection. But the bed was so comfy, we immediately fell back asleep afterward. The continental breakfast was lacking, but it didnt have any baring on our review because we dont eat continental breakfast normally.

The first room they sent us to was still in shambles...unmade bed, dirty towels on the floor. Went back to get a different room key card. Breakfast was scheduled for 7:30, but the office was closed and empty. Breakfast was still not available at 7:45, so we checked out and left.

AC was very good. There was places to go around the area. Would stay here again.

Easy to find. Rooms were very clean. Staff was Great. Our tv wasn't wanting to hook up and he came upband fixed or quickly. Plus they printed my luggage tags that I hadn't gotten do.e before leavimg for our cruise. THANKS!!!

Several light bulbs were out in the room and the bedspread wasn't that clean, but the front desk staff was very helpful & personable.
