The hotel is in a wonderful location and thanks to the architect perfectly fitted into the bay. The rooms have a fantastic view (we had a seaview room) onto coconut island. Although the hotel is a bit old, everything is still functional and clean. Hotel restaurant and bar are both comfortable, food is good. Our room was not made up although the reception promised to for the next day, each day.

The hotel has a comfortable environment and free parking. There is a seaside park outside with pleasant scenery. It is very close to Hilo Airport, and there are KTA supermarkets and restaurants about two kilometers away. The dining bar in the lobby on the first floor provides a free snack for each room in the morning, which can also be used as breakfast. During my stay, the fourth floor was being renovated, and there was a sound of drilling in the morning. Since it was basically outside during the day, the impact was not too great.

Behind the hotel is Coconut Island, a local park. The view is great and you can swim directly in the sea. But the hotel really doesn't have much facilities. The hair dryer is terrible. There is no microwave. I bought something to eat and wanted to heat it up. I asked the front desk and there is no microwave at 9pm in the downstairs restaurant. They didn't even accept the order. After asking, there was no room service. They told us that we could wait for breakfast the next day, which made us laugh out loud... I called three times to get two new towels and waited for more than an hour before they came... It really occupies a great location for nothing (attractions + quietness in the middle of chaos + very close to the airport).
