Incredible service and beautiful, quiet hotel with rooms that make you feel like home! We even met a ezo red fox while driving down the mountain from the hotel.

The room is very large and comfortable. The standard room is more than 60 square meters, which is very large among Japanese hotels. The newly renovated hot spring hotel is a 5-minute walk from the cable car entrance. It is definitely the best choice for visiting Asahidake Daisetsuzan. There are two disadvantages: 1. As a hotel that includes breakfast and dinner, the breakfast and dinner dishes never change, and I lose my appetite after eating. 2. I always feel that an Indian male waiter is discriminating against Chinese people... staring at your every move, which makes people feel very uncomfortable. The onsen hotel is in a beautiful setting. Spacious room with comfortable bedding. The meals were exceptional. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely visit again. It’s a short walk to the Asahidake ropeway. The view is magnificent.

The location was so convenient to the mountain. Next to the visitor center and the ropeway. The hotel itself was beautiful and elegant. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. The food was very delicious with many choices. The hot springs were also wonderful and everything in the hotel was clean. The room was very comfortable with nice bedding and comfortable beds and couches. This was a very wonderful experience!

After getting caught in a real downpour at the top of the ropeway, I really appreciated the onsen. The gentlemen at the front desk, who seems to be there 16 hours a day, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. For a buffet, which I tend not to like, this one was pretty good. There are not a lot of options in Asahidake, but you can be very happy here.

This little spa town is one of the few access points for the national park, and probably with the best day hike. If you want to stay locally, this hotel is perfectly located (beware of onsen hotels near Hagoromo falls - it's been partially abandoned in a post-apocalyptic way). The stylish and comfortable rooms are enormous, and it has a beautiful second floor library/sitting area for weather watching. The actual onsen is a bit average, as is the food (but there are no other dining options). Western breakfast was weak, although dinner choices were broadly fine. In short, it's not the best onsen luxury experience ever, but very practical as a base for the park.
