I relaxed in a room where you can enjoy the ocean view. All rooms have ocean view. It was an inn where Izu Oshima could be seen in front of me. We are a group of four so we booked a Western/Japanese room with two beds and a tatami room. It is a good size for the 4 of us. Dinner was excellent with lots of fresh sashimi; since we chose a menu with lobster and abalone, we would have expected that the portion of the regular sashimi would be reduced, yet this was not the case. Hence, one suggestion is that the portion of sashimi could be adjusted for it was way too much for four people. I like the website of the hotel, which allows me to check all the details including choice of room before making the booking. As it was not a budget stay, it is important for us to make decision based on the best information.

河津桜を見たくて、前日に泊まりました。16時に到着したら、「19時半からの夕食しか空いていません」と言われました。鉄板焼は２部制。早く到着して17時半を確保したら良かったのですが、大室山にも寄り道したかったので、仕方ないな～と諦めました。展望露天風呂の部屋だったので、お風呂に入ったり、ところてん(湯上がり処)を食べたりして過ごしました。 鉄板焼は、伊勢エビ、金目鯛、アワビ、肉(ヒレ、サーロイン、鹿から選びます)など豪華。造りも出ますが、冷蔵庫に入れて時間が経っているのか乾いていました。最後のお味噌汁は驚くほど少量でした。 朝も洋食は鉄板焼と同じ場所でソーセージやオムレツ(スクランブルエッグ、目玉焼きも選べます)、フレンチトーストを焼いてくれました。美味しかったです。 建物全体はやや古い印象で高級旅館のようなイメージではありませんが、掃除が行き届き、サービス面で頑張っていると思います。大浴場の露天風呂や部屋からの眺望は素晴らしかったです。
