South Mimms/Potters Bar

If you drive a commercial vehicle please avoid this place like the plague! They have an issue with vehicle break ins which they neglect to tell you when booking. And should it happen to and you report it to reception I can assure they couldn’t care less, the receptionist didn’t even look up when I told him I’d been broken into in his car park awful service Please see photo of my busted lock barrel

Plenty of parking for vans and I found parking to be a good price of £15 for 3x nights, considering location. I did have issues with paying for parking though. The payment machine wouldn't accept my card and the website was saying the car park was full, even though it wasn't. The receptionist couldn't help as it was an external parking operator. In the end after 3x different cards the machine in the reception took payment. I own a premier inn hard pillow at home as I use Premier Inn a lot for work and find these the best for me, however there was no available hard pillows which did affect my sleep. The receptionist for some reason couldn't tell me if breakfast was on the booking (company booking) and that I had to wait until the morning when I asked at breakfast check in, which I found odd. The room needed a good hoover, it clearly hadn't been done. I found food in various places on the floor and also plastic pieces in the shower tray as well as hairs. Only good thing was the parking here.

The rooms are all on the one floor and there are around 350, I was in 336 which is like a mile away. The room was cold, the heating didn’t work. The walk back to reception to raise the issue was not fun and they tried to switch it on twice with terrible respons that the heating system is old and takes a long time to get to my room. After two trips back to reception and some one hour later I got very trickle heating. Not enjoyable at all and the staff not helpful at all.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wanted easy access to London, but be outside of London for some relaxing family time. Room was clean and comfy and bed allowed for a great night’s sleep. Meal deal excellent value and a good selection of food. Breakfast plentiful and excellent quality. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy to travel to Harry Potter world also. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting family and War of the World in London. The beds were comfy, the breakfast was great, the room temps were spot on and the TVs and in room facilities were just right. Is 100% stay again if the price match was less, the same or a little more than Travelodge who we stayed with a couple of nights later. Their rooms were tired and inferior on every level. We used to always use Travelodge but I’ll now be checking Premier Inn before I book.

Excellent value for money. The location is great and easy to get to. The hotel was clean and the food was very good. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. I required an accessible room and it was great.

We were served by a lovely bar tender called Alexis she made us a cocktail that was lovely even though she didn’t have the right ingredients, however she was told off and humiliated by another member of staff in front of myself

Fantastic hotel . Great location. Rooms spacious , very clean and comfortable. Restaurant food superb. All staff across the board are very friendly and go above and beyond making my stay very relaxing and enjoyable. I will most definitely be staying here again . Thumbs Up !

What a great hotel Location spot on for my work meetings. Amazing and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and comfy bed highly recomend this hotel. The bar staff are great and so friendly and food in the restaurant was great and well priced. Thank you to all Fab members of staff
