Handywater Cottages

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Handywater Cottages. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cottages themselves are fantastic, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, set within stunning grounds that are peaceful and immaculately maintained, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. Breakfast, was fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the host. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend Handywater Cottages to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable getaway.

This was a wonderful little find and made our trip to Henley extra special. We stayed in the Sunflower room and our lovely host Natalie had put so many little touches to the room-she thought of everything from fresh milk for coffee to wine glasses and a corkscrew to meet everyone’s wishes. The room was decorated beautifully, was warm and very comfortable. The grounds of the property are beautiful and the photos show the splendour that it will be when in full bloom. The best part of the stay was our delightful host Natalie. She welcomed us on arrival, ensured she had the timings and our orders for breakfast and gave us information about the room and area. Breakfast the next morning was amazing and again Natalie had thought of everything. She even went out of her way to get us vegetarian sausages. Thank you so much! If we plan a similar trip this way, we will definitely come back and stay.

What a lovely place to stay - a home-away-from-home. Beautiful cottages with all mod cons & more ( + what you get is luxury & most important of all, clean! We had a great night's sleep & the following morning we had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Nothing is too much trouble for the proprietors. Can't say enough about how great this place is. For the money, it's a bargain too!

Welcoming and friendly reception with time given to explaining the guesthouse facilities etc. Spotlessly clean room and shower room. Spacious bedroom with walk-in wardrobe for storage. Warm and comfortable. Quality bedlinen. Tea making facilities in room as well as access to guest kitchen for preparing food if required. Delicious breakfast preordered beautifully presented. Good WiFi. Quite simply nothing was too much trouble for Natalie who demonstrates quite clearly that she loves her running her business! Free parking and charging point for electric car. Plenty of restaurants in this beautiful area just a short distance from Henley-on-Thames.

Stayed for 1 night in one of four cottages in exquisite grounds. Our cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully laid out and furnished to a tee. Superb breakfast was provided with coffee already set up on the table.The place even provides a kitchenette with available seating as well as washer/dryer facilities. Crystal clear that Natalie has set up this B & B with pride, passion and perfectionism. We look forward in staying again here at this superb "place/palace".

I can only add to all the excellent reviews already here. Natalie goes out of her way and some to ensure that everything is as it should be, and that everyone is happy. Of particular note is the large communal fridge in a well-equipped kitchen with fresh milk for each room (yes! always a winner with me). Breakfasts are gorgeous, with the best of local produce plus lots of fresh fruit. Thank you Natalie for such a welcoming and relaxing stay.

The moment we arrived we were looked after by the lovely Natalie who made us instantly feel at home. The cottage was very modern and thoroughly clean with an outstanding breakfast made for us at a time of our liking. The perfect base to explore the beautiful town of Henley on Thames. We would recommend highly to friends and family.

Excellent. Warm, friendly hosts who went above and beyond. Rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was superb. Loved our weekend stay. Would highly recommend.
