The staff were friendly and courteous, the room was spacious and clean.
The amenities were great from what we used, additionally the location is about 15-20 mins from city centre but not an issue in the slightest, also the airport is about 40 mins by public transport.
All in all great experience and would recommend.

I had a very very pleasure stay. The hotel is very confortable, placed in a nice area of Helsinki. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very quite, so you can relax and enjoy sauna too. And a very good breakfast.

We had a room in second floor without a window. Room was small and worn out, one lamp does not work and the bed creaked when you turned your side, also the room smelled damp. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was fresh.

The room was very clean, the staff was kind and helpful, and the hotel was very accessible to the public transportation. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

They upgraded my room for smaller one and with small bed without my permission. Didnt bother to apologize it either, unprofessional customer service experience. Very unpleasant trip. Breakfast was semi ok, but it is very narrow hotel.

This hotel is far from the Helsinki city center! You will have to take a 30 minute tram ride to get to where most would go in the city! Be prepared to spend taxi and tram money!
I would highly recommend staying somewhere else if you are coming to the Finnish capitol as a tourist or for business! The front desk staff found it amusing when I pointed this out!

Scandic Kallio is a bosic, good hotel that doesn't aim to make a statement of itself. Great access to public transport, friendly staff and delightful service. Beds are good, only the extra bed that our child slept in, was quite squeky. Our room was next to the elevator, but there was no problems with noise. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but also nothing to complain about. The hotel is close enough to the centre, so no time is wasted in travelling, but far enough to get away from "the city buzz".

Given that accommodation in Helsinki comes at a price, the Scandic Kallio represents decent value for money for a city break in this intriguing city. With a stop for four tram lines outside the hotel, it is easily accessible on arrival from the ferry port and railway station, and other parts of the city. Staff on reception were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Our room provided a comfortable bed with all necessary furnishings even if the bathroom and shower facilities were limited for space. The highlight was the excellent buffet breakfast which provided a wide range of cooked and cold items to suit all tastes. Within walking range of the hotel are a variety of bars and restaurants, with the Asian style establishments providing the best value.

I was very happy with this hotel. The room was small, and lacked a cupboard, but the bed was very comfortable, climate control in the room was very effective (which I was very grateful for), and the breakfast menu was extensive and the quality was great.
