Amazing service and even more amazing breakfast. We were welcomed with a hot pot of tea by the fireplace while we checked in. Nice comfortable.room overlooking the river. But the highlight was the breakfast, absolutely amazing!

Another great stay at The Bridge. Always welcoming , with clean, spacious rooms in an interesting old building. Breakfast is self-service and there is a good selection. Always asked if we want more of anything, and host tries to cater for everyone’s requests. Will be happy to return when I am next in the area.

Hans is a remarkable host, very welcoming, good stories to share, was very helpful to us , lovely big and clean rooms with very comfortable beds, he is hard working, and very kind. Very good stay. Thank you so much, tasty stornoway black pudding for breakfast too.

Hans is an excellent host, nothing is too much trouble. He has excellent knowledge of the local and surrounding areas. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very spacious. Breakfast is fabulous. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely stay in Helmsdale as part of our NC500 tour. We had the family room which was great for parents and children or (as in our case) parents travelling with an adult tag along daughter ;) Great location in Helmsdale which is a small but lovely town. The museum opposite is good with a nice shop and cafe. We were spoilt with amazing weather which showed Helmsdale and the hotel off in its best light! The harbour is lovely too. Pet friendly hotel which was great. Breakfast was varied and buffet style. Would recommend!

Unique, felt like the home of an outdoorsman.
Rom was damp and musty smelling. No shower. Windows painted shut.
Breakfast was nice, host was very nice.

Restored 1816 inn, locally family owned and run. Picturesque village. In an area seeped in history. One of the best hotel experiences i have ever had in my 79 years.

Our stay was lovely our room was beautiful and the host Hans was absolutely superb,nothing was to much trouble.He was welcoming friendly and chatty.
The only downside with our room was there was only 1 socket in the room.(Difficult when both needing phones and electrical equipment charged.Also the room did not have a mirror.

Stayed for three nights over the Games weekend. Excellent accommodation, very clean, fabulous breakfast couldn't recommend it more. Hans and his staff run a very good place to stay, everything is "no bother." Hans even clear up the small car park across the road and after the partying on Saturday night cleared up before he went to bed. You will be hard pressed to find any litter near this B & B.
