Location is easy to find and outdoor bath. Simple kitchen with two stoves. Still very nice and clean. The refrigerator simply keeps it cold, not freezing. Full breakfast, traditional continental breakfast.

The hotel is small, clean and tidy, breakfast is OK, the service staff is warm, it is a small hotel that can stay, will not be fooled.

The stay was clean, and the owner is friendly and provide breakfast for us.

Outstanding service in the middle of nowhere. The owner had vision to put the hotel in a unique place. Staff is attentive, courteous, helpful and respond to every request. The place is new, clean, modern, and efficient. The meals were excellent, better than expected. The lamb was delicious. Breakfasts were good as well. Plenty of choice and plenty to eat. I highly recommend it. I will go back.

Great experience

We are really disappointed at the stay of the Aurora Igloo as it didn’t mention that there’s no toilet inside the room. We have to walk for 100m outside to get the bathroom as the winter is so cold and windy in December. Moreover, the hotel heater isn’t working really well, so we didn’t stay for the second night. As we have spoken to the owner, he says that we are able to receive refund in to my card. Thank you.

The check-in is a little special: you need to call a number, between 16h and 21h, from a fixed phone located in the hall. I feel come the round shot ... and it hasn't gone! The phone doesn't work, by SMS no answer, mail idem,... we're finally calling via booking and my phone, I'm answered in Icelandic, I don't understand, speaks 3 words in English, then my interlocutor too, except that it doesn't get, and finished with hang, hopefully remembered, in vain ...outside, it doesn't get better, and ended with a room number and a portal code ... The common kitchen for the 15 rooms seems very well equipped: Cafe machine hotel-style with cappuccino and cie, equipped with two ovens, 2 plates, ... This is great! Yes, finally, it was on paper: the coffee machine doesn't work, there is only one plate for both ovens, and no plate. Water rooms are very limited for the number of beds.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights for my birthday. When we got to room, there was a complimentary bottle of wine and a nice note, very nice surprise! Room was big and hotel very clean. The breakfast was delicious, a lot of choices, and the best we had during our 8 days in Iceland. Dinner was excellent, expensive but worth the splurge. Mushroom soup was good. I had the beef filet and my husband had the lamb, both were excellent, cooked perfect. Waiter surprised me with a dessert for my birthday, they definitely made me feel special! Like the northern lights wake up call option. Was hoping to see the Northern lights but it was bad weather so didn’t see them. It is expensive but worth it. We would definitely stay here again.
