Overall a very fine hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good location if you are planning on traveling by train or FlixBus since you are very close to their stations. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and well operated. We also ate once for dinner ate at the hotel restaurant and the hamburgers and fries are exceptional. (We had young adults in our group.) The Executive Lounge has a great view of the river if you have access. One warning. If you need an accessible bathroom, this is NOT the place for you. The showers are old school in a high wall bath tub. The other caution is the location is not adjacent to the Old Town. You may need to use buses, trams, or Uber/taxicab.

The reception was very friendly. The location is about a 20-minute walk from the tourist area, but it is close to the central station where trains to Frankfurt and other areas stop, so it was easy to move around with a suitcase. You order amenities yourself from your smartphone, but it took an hour to get one pair of slippers. Also, the staff other than the reception staff were not very good. There was an a la carte menu in addition to the buffet for breakfast, but it never came (I ended up not eating it).

The very high level of personal service at the Europaeischer Hof Heidelberg could not be any better. It's very consistent and makes any trip to Heidelberg more relaxing and fun. My first choice for any overnight stay in Heidelberg and I can highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there - CVID permitting - hopefully soon.

The surrounding environment is very good, the room is not too big, the entrance is the cloakroom and the kitchen, and then the living room, inside the bedroom is connected to the bathroom, there are shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, slippers, hot water bottle, and two free bottles of Saint Pellegrino. But the hotel does not have a parking lot. The clerk will drive a golf cart to take you to the public parking lot and then drive you back. The parking lot is 1 km away from the hotel.

Facilities: Facilities are very good, breakfast is on the second floor Hygiene: This is not good evaluation. Very good, except for a small bug crawling on my hand, maybe because I live near the road and the beach and the floor is low. This was my first stay at the Exzellenz Hotel and I was quite pleased. It is within easy walking distance of Bismarkplatz and the start of the Altstadt Hauptstraße. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and updated. And the front desk staff were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to give me the information I was looking for. The breakfast was typical of what you would expect from a German hotel and, overall, I was very satisfied with the value of my stay.

Goldener Falke was a great place to stay. We were there for 9 nights. It's cozy and comfortable and located right on the Marketplatz in Heidelberg. The staff were very helpful and responsive. The food is excellent. It's like a cozy Inn. There were no unwanted surprises. We booked over ******* and everything went as planned!
