My kids loved browsing Central Street when I was planning our trip. Since we were driving, I looked for a hotel near Central Street with free parking. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel is incredibly convenient, right at the entrance to Central Street. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was quite good. The location is directly across from the south entrance of Central Street, with north-facing windows offering a view straight down the street. It's about equidistant from Central Street Station and Shangzhi Street Station on Metro Line 2, roughly 45-55 meters from each – a bit of a 'can't have your cake and eat it too' situation. The lobby service was incredibly warm, efficient, and never dragged. Someone even managed to seamlessly hand me a cup of tea that was the perfect temperature and strength. Absolutely fantastic. Traveling with family to Harbin, the best parts were definitely the location and the value for money. The hotel is right at the southern end of Central Street, making it super convenient for taxis – no long walks needed. I compared several hotels and noticed the one next door, a Hilton, offered direct views of Central Street and St. Sophia Cathedral, which really appealed to me. This place, however, beat them all in both location and value. You can even catch a glimpse of the Songhua River from some spots. The family room was spacious and well-equipped. You can tell they really made the most of the space. There's also an unlimited supply of bottled water by the elevator, and the hotel has its own dedicated building. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, and plenty of seating, making it feel very open. The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. I wasn't sure how to get to the subway and train station, so they had a staff member personally walk me to the subway entrance and explained which stop to get off at. When I had to catch a train before 6 AM, they thoughtfully prepared a breakfast takeaway for me, even though the restaurant wasn't open yet. On my last day, a staff member even accompanied me to the subway station. Their service is truly exceptional! I'd give them 100 points, especially for the extra care they showed to me as a senior citizen. Highly recommended!

Wanda Holiday Hotel is an older establishment, and I've stayed there many times over the past few years. However, this recent stay showed a significant qualitative improvement! The location is absolutely fantastic! I parked right in front of the hotel, and as soon as I got out, I saw Central Avenue directly across the street – literally just a crosswalk away.
