We stayed here a night before heading out on our manapools.com Sailing with Elephants and Chizerara National Park itinerary. The Sunbird was quintessentially colonial - gorgeous parquet floors, open fires, cultivated garden, missionary chairs on the veranda ... gorgeous. Rooms were basic but clean and functional, with good shower facilities. Dinner was excellent. Staff were incomparable: fun, friendly, knowledgable. Friday's impromptu tour of downtown Harare was excellent and very informative. Ant runs a very tight ship and he and his team appear to work very hard to ensure that each guest receives what they need. We were really impressed and wished we could have stayed longer, rather than just as a stopover.

Love Sunbird for its ease of use. Clean, quiet, unpretentious. Easy access to the main Harare airport and a decent shopping precinct for a good restaurant and cafe. Staff are great. Also nice and secure and safe. Hot water worked as did wifi and electricity so decent basics are in place.

The property is in a gated community and very quiet.The backyard is beautiful! I was the only one staying that night. It's a three bedroom, three bath house with very comfortable seating areas inside and out. Staff prepared a delicious steak dinner with fresh made fries and salad. Since I was leaving early, they prepared a breakfast to go. I would definitely stay at Sunbird Guesthouse again!

Had an excellent stay at Sunbird. It was recommended to me and now I know why. I had a lovely room in the house. It was clean, bright and comfortable. The lounge area was also very comfortable with a great view over the beautiful gardens. The service, advice and help I received was excellent. And they do a great breakfast to set you up for the day. Ant and the team were very easy to deal with and eager to help. WiFi was also good.
