HORRIBLE HOTEL. Do not book under any circumstances. So so bad. I would not recommend anybody EVER book this hotel. I am appalled at the lack of customer service shown by them. By far the WORST experience we have had with any accommodation in Vietnam over the past month.

I had a reservation, I canceled and sent request to waive the cancelation fee, and they did not respond. Two days later, they charged my credit card for 3 days, and said I did not show. The reservation was canceled due to an exceptional circumstance... they would not let me board the flight from Bangkok because my visa had not yet processed (after 10 days). It was delayed because of the ***** New Year. I then requested to let me change the dates, and they would not. Very dishonest, very inflexible, very disappointed.

Another hotel in Hoan Kiem, no problems with the hotel. There's hot wate, air cond, bed is OK. There's a kettle with coffee and tea. Quite standard, can't find much to complain about. There's food, shops all around

Found the staff, very friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Walking distance to the Hoan Kiem lake and Museum and bar street. Breakfast included was very nice. Comfortable room for the price.

very dirty already when I arrived. the room in six days was never cleaned and I could hear the cleaning ladies chatting on the stairs every morning. I've had to take out the trash by myself more than once. The staff are very helpful even if they only aim for money.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. I checked in at about 8PM, and the staff at the reception barely spoke any English. As for the room: the AC hardly worked, I asked for a king-size bed and got two single beds that were set together to make it look like one bed, the towels were dirty with giant holes in them and the whole room felt dirty.

We booked a spacious balcony room with couch for a 10 day stay. We were taken up in the lift then up stairs to the top floor. The room was not what we had booked. No balcony or couch and the room was small. The guy was very apologetic & said the aircon in the balcony room was broken but he could not offer a better alternative. I felt he had misled us by not explaining this before taking us upstairs. He let us use the internet so we could find alternative accommodation and we left. This experience was a huge let down and inconvenience after flying for nearly 10 hours.

I last reviewed this holtel in 2017. Nothing has changed. It's a typical budget hotel the likes of which can be found all over the Old Quarter. Its dated & poorly maintained but clean enough and perfectly fine for budget travelers who only require accommodations for a night or two. On a more positive note: *The air-conditioning, hot water, refrigerator and Wi-Fi all worked fine. *The staff were super friendly and helpful. *The walk-in rate was only 400,000 VND, the cheapest price I've paid in the post COVID era.
