The Emissary Hanoi Hotel & Spa

The staff here are examplary. I was allowed an early check in and the receptionist gave me a warm greeting. Foyer is in a cool artdeco style . Breakfast was ok with quite a selection of food and drinks . WiFi and A/c (very quiet) worked well. Big TV but only news channels. My room unfortunately was very compact and felt claustrophobic.with no windows and a king size bed that took over the room. Design / layout meant the tea, coffee mini bar could only be accessed by literally squeezing along the bottom of the bed (about 6inches width) and edging sideways. Toilet ,sink shower area were small but door opened into the shower room which meant squeezing around it to get to the toilet ! . I couldn't understand why it was fitted to open that way. No rack or hooks for towels , so I parked them on the top of the toilet until I need them . Shower was..nice and hot . Outlets for charging phone etc didn't have a bedside table . I managed by propping my backpack under the socket. Another feature that could easily be improved. Access to the hotel is down an alleyway. Grab drops you on the main street opposite the alley jfyi. Location is in the French quarter and close to Hoam Kiem lake, so there were some decent restaurants etc Don't think I'd return . Just felt too claustrophobic in that room , but i was travelling solo , so I don't know about bigger , family rooms.

We stayed at this hotel as it was conveniently located, had good reviews and was very good value. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by staff and asked to sit down whilst they went through all our tourism paperwork. They provided a cold drink for us to enjoy whilst we stayed and the temperature was very nice. They offered us tours and transfer services for our onward travel and offered to sit down and work out the best plans for us so we didn’t have to worry. Breakfast was included in our booking and was pleasant both days. An extensive buffet but also a choice of food to order there and then to enjoy with the buffet. Our room was on the top floor but never had to wait too long for the elevator and water was provided free in the room along with coffee. When I’m next in Vietnam, I’ll be sure to check out this hotel again.

The hotel location is very well. It’s near Hoan Kiem lake and Hanoi old quater. The walking distance is 5-10 mins. The room is very clean and staffs are very friendly. They can speak English and Chinese. It’s very convenient for the foreigners. I highly recommend this hotel, and I would definitely stay here again next time, thank you 🙏

Apart from having to access the lobby via an alley, my stay was great.

Location is really close to a few attractions, walking distance from Hoam Kiem Lake. Located inside a small alleyway besides another hotel. General cleaniness is acceptable, however the toliet however could use a little refurshing, could see some rust stains. Entrance door is a bit jammy but nothing serious. Breakfast was good, some Vietnamese food and lots of fruit options.

All is good. Breakfast was nice. Employees was very cute and professional.

quite hard to find this hotel as they located in the alley. but service is good, room is ok and good stay for short trip in Hanoi.

Good value and good location. Booked Halong Bay tour with hotel and they arrange it well. It is cheaper than Klook. We also thanks for hotel manager - Selina to arrange free transfer to airport. Staffs are very nice.
