Aman in Hangzhou is the perfect staycation destination. The environment is calming and beautiful, relaxing and natural. The staff and service at Amanfayun is probably the best second only to the hotel grounds itself. The room was beautiful and had probably the best sleep I’ve had in a long time as the room becomes completely pitch black and the bed is super comfortable. The spa was unreal, with an ensuite for every service (1 or 2 people). The spa is located next to the pool which had to be my favorite thing about staying there - the afternoon tea by the pool was amazing, delicious, and so cute. It wasn’t hard to feel comfortable or communicate because the majority of staff speaks English. The hotel has 6 places to eat, but I will say as someone who doesn’t eat meat it was a little hard to find options at the hotel but super easy to order food in! If you do eat meat, no problem, there are many options. Definitely recommend Amanfayun to anyone but especially anyone looking for a weekend away with family, a friend, or a loved one. Thanks Aman!

I selected this hotel due to its reputation from a friends recommendation and in particular because of their outdoor swimming pool. The weather is hot and humid so some pool time was what I desired. On arrival I discovered the pool was closed but this hadn’t been advertised anywhere and I was exceptionally disappointed. I was given access to the gym and indoor pool at the Banyan Hotel up the road and also a room upgrade by lovely staff who were understanding of my disappointment. The rooms themselves are fine with a massive bed, lovely bath and shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with a variety of food, with pastries and some cereals (didn’t see any muesli though). The staff were very helpful during my entire stay, helping with deliveries and some basic questions as well as the aforementioned room upgrade. Just wish the pool was open as it looks like the perfect space for relaxing.

We took full advantage of the executive lounge which was a little small compared to other hotels I've stayed in, it was also a little noisy with some guests watching videos on their phones without earphones. The lounge itself was nice enough with the option of sitting outside on the small balcony. We also spent a long time at the pool which was rather cold, but indoor pools in China never seem to be heated adequately. The spa facilities were nice with a warm plunge pool and sauna. Overall a really pleased stay nestled on the edge of Xixi wetlands. The ambience of the hotel was warm and welcoming, the decor is lovely. A really nice and relaxing stay.
