Hangzhou The New Hotel

Xinxin Hotel is located on the romantic Beishan Road in Hangzhou and has a history spanning two centuries. The design was completed in 1913 and is called "THE NEW HOTEL" in English. The name of the hotel comes from the "Book of Rites·University": "New every day, new every day, new every day" contains the best wishes of "forge ahead"! Some people call it the "Peace Hotel in Hangzhou", while others say it is the "Celebrity Chronicle". Soong Ching Ling, Xu Zhimo, Lu Xun, Lin Huiyin, Zhang Ailing and other half of the celebrities and dignitaries at that time stayed here. I love this Republic of China style! Because the hotel is under renovation, we upgraded the room for free. I love it! 1913 has a good dining environment, good taste, and good service. I even took a group of photos of "flowers" in the evening. It felt great!

The hotel manages a total of 5 buildings. Rooms can be booked in Hezhuang, Dongzhuang and Xizi Building. Qiushui Villa is another hotel. The first floor of Guyun Cottage is a French restaurant and the upstairs is a private room of 1913 restaurant. Zhaoxian Temple is now a venue for cultural activities. Dongzhuang, Guyun Thatched Cottage and Zhaoxian Temple are cultural relics. I live in the Hezhuang Lake View Hotel, which is located on the 6th floor in the southeast corner. The view is unparalleled (see actual photos), and it's at the top on Beishan Street. There is a balcony on the 7th floor for viewing and filming. The 1913 Chinese Restaurant is Michelin-rated in 2023, and breakfast is served in this restaurant. There are two books about the history of the hotel in the room, you can read them when you have time.

I am very satisfied with the Xinxin Hotel, which has a long history. If you come to Hangzhou, you should definitely stay at it. You will never forget it and it will be worth your trip!

We booked two rooms this time. The garden view room faces the roof of the next building, which is not very exquisite. The hotel is under renovation. The construction workers started talking loudly before 8 o'clock in the morning. Fortunately, we got up early. The other lakeside room was upgraded to a suite, which was very pleasant. The room faces the West Lake, and the view and space are both top-notch. The breakfast is also exquisite and delicious. You can enjoy the West Lake by the window seat, which makes you feel very happy. The hotel is worthy of being listed as a hotel, a historical house, and it is worth staying.

Good points: 1. The view of the lake view room is simply amazing. It faces the lonely mountain. The top floor room has an unobstructed view. It is so beautiful. 2. The basic service attitude of the service staff is very good. 3. I like the hotel's sense of history and the overall decoration style of the room. The bad points: 1. On the day we arrived, the doorman was just putting on a display and ignored everyone he saw. On the day we left, the doorman at least helped carry the luggage. 2. When I entered the room, I saw several pieces of cut nails on the floor, which was a bit disgusting. 3. The air conditioner is too ridiculous. No matter how it is set, the room temperature is always 26 degrees, which is equivalent to turning on a hot air conditioner. The room is very hot with or without the air conditioner. After telling the front desk, they were told that it cannot be adjusted. 4. The toilet does not have an automatic flip-up lid. 5. The spare parts are Oumoudan, which can be higher-end. I would give the overall score a 7.5. It is not a hotel that has been used for more than ten or twenty years, and the facilities and equipment are not in good condition.
