I rarely write reviews but I need to do this hotel justice. Apart from the design and comfort of the room and amazing facilities (including pilates reformer in the gym) the helpfulness of the staff is unparalleled and whoever runs this hotel has done an impeccable job. This is true hospitality.
Would argue it has surpassed Four Seasons standards. I arrived at the hotel feeling a little drowsy and the concierge instantly asked if he could get me a drink. Checkin and checkout process seamless.
Would come back to Hangzhou just to be able to stay here again. Will be hard to find a hotel that beats this.

Great hotel with an awesome breakfast buffet with freshly prepared Chinese and western style breakfast.
Our room had a nice view on the grand canal.

I often come to Hangzhou for business for a night or two. Kempinski never fail to deliver great service with their excellently managed hotel. The breakfast alone is worth a visit.

We stayed a night at the hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the hotel went out of their way to make her birthday special with lovely decorations and a freshly baked cake. The amenities where amazing, and the room was clean. The breakfast was amazing. Definitely the best buffet breakfast we have experienced in Hangzhou thus far. Good selection between western and Asian cuisine, and also have the option to order from a set menu, which is all inclusive of the buffet breakfast.

Everything was superb. From the service level, the pool and gym facilities to the breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and I would go back anytime 😍. Really so far the best hotel on our trip to China this year

This was our first time staying for a “staycation.” The location is near the Grand Canal area and close to many area restaurants but the restaurant inside the hotel, Frieda is amazing!!!!! The service all around from reception, eateries, doorman, etc was friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were comfy and we had a lovely view of the canal. My favorite was the tub that I could lie down in and I’m tall!!! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon. I would love to see coffee in the rooms though but thankfully I had brought some with me. See you soon!
