This isn't my first time staying at Jianyus. The drive here is beautiful, with lush trees forming a continuous green canopy overhead. Sunlight filters through, turning the afternoon heat into cool, dappled shadows. It felt like driving through a flowing tunnel. The guesthouse courtyard is filled with meticulously cared-for flowers and plants, all in full bloom, showing how much effort the owners put into their business. Stepping into the room, it was spacious and bright, making it very comfortable for a family stay, giving you that 'at home' feeling. The bedding was soft, and the air carried the fresh scent of the mountains and flowers. We all slept exceptionally well during our two-day stay. In the evening, we took a stroll by West Lake and happened upon a stunning sunset – the sky transitioned from crimson to soft purple, gently blanketing the entire lake. The distant mountains were like painted brows, and nearby boats like fallen leaves; at that moment, the world felt completely serene. In the morning, the auntie made us steaming hot tomato and egg noodles, and the handmade pork wontons on the side had thin wrappers and savory fillings. Every bite tasted of dedication. Surrounded by such greenery and lake views, Jianyus' simple yet comforting breakfast added the warmest touch to our journey.

This guesthouse is only about three kilometers from West Lake, making it very convenient to get around whether you're driving or taking a taxi. It’s a straight shot to core attractions like Su Causeway and Leifeng Pagoda, no detours or hassle. During the day, you can fully immerse yourself in West Lake, stroll along Su Causeway, admire the distant hills and flowing water – the beauty of Jiangnan unfolds before your eyes, leaving you feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. After a day of sightseeing, heading back to the guesthouse without rushing around just makes the travel experience perfect, especially as a base for your trip. The guesthouse's decor perfectly matches my aesthetic: a simple yet sophisticated natural wood style paired with minimalist concrete textures, clean, fresh, and full of character. There are no over-the-top influencer decorations; every detail is simple, elegant, and gently soothing, creating a wonderful ambiance that’s quiet and comfortable. The moment you step in, you can shed your travel fatigue and just feel at ease. The afternoon tea was the most delightful surprise, a perfect experience! The soft and delicious delicate desserts had just the right amount of sweetness, paired with a pot of refreshing tea and fresh seasonal fruits. The presentation was exquisite and beautiful, adding to the wonderful atmosphere. In the lobby, there were seasonal lotus pods and fresh flower arrangements everywhere – these small, thoughtful details truly reflect the host's passion for life. Sitting down for a quiet break here was incredibly leisurely and therapeutic. The cleanliness was impeccable. The entire guesthouse was spotless, the bedding was neat and tidy, and the towels were snow-white, fluffy, and odorless. All the toiletries were clean and hygienic, making my stay particularly reassuring. What truly surprised me was the exclusive wooden comb: it felt substantial and smooth, with rounded teeth that glided through my hair without snagging. Full of thoughtful details and excellent quality, it was truly impressive. My entire West Lake trip was made wonderful by the beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation. Every detail at this guesthouse showed great care. It offers excellent value for money and an exceptional experience. It's now on my list of go-to guesthouses in Hangzhou, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

I stayed in a mountain view king room, and the moment I opened the door, the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a full mountain of green. That refreshing, open feeling was incredibly therapeutic. Every morning, the first thing I did was draw back the curtains and lie in bed, watching the clouds and mist slowly drift through the mountains, and the sunlight gradually filter through the trees onto the wooden floor. In the afternoon, I'd brew a cup of tea, sit on the futon by the window, and just daydream. I felt like a hermit. Oh, and it's incredibly quiet in the mountains at night. The duvet had a faint scent of laundry detergent, and the mattress was just the right firmness. Now, about the location. The homestay is very close to Jiuxi, about a 5-minute walk to the entrance. The sound of the stream and birdsong together was incredibly soothing. It's also convenient to take a taxi to West Lake and the zoo, usually within 10-15 minutes. The butler even provided a small map of local attractions, which was very useful – I toured everything according to the icons. But what really made me want to write all this was the people. The butler was a very young girl, and she was incredibly thoughtful. She offered to pick me up when I arrived and helped me with my luggage. When I suddenly needed to go out on a rainy day, she didn't hesitate to thoughtfully ask if I had an umbrella and had one ready for me. Breakfast was delivered to the room punctually and was always hot. The afternoon tea snacks and pre-cut fruit were different every day. One day I returned late, and she even WeChat messaged me asking if I needed the door to be left open. On the morning I left, she helped me carry my luggage to the intersection and smiled, saying to stay there again next time I visit Hangzhou. I looked back and thought to myself, 'I will.' In short, if you also want a few quiet days, and want to be close to scenic spots while staying comfortably, Jianyue is really suitable. It’s not one of those cold, impersonal hotels; it’s a place where you can truly relax.

The rooms are clean, quiet, and well-equipped, making it perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway from the city.
